Chapter 19 He hugged her

Sawyer leaned against the desk and crossed his arms over his chest. He hid his expression, "Tell me, what did you come to see me about?"

Tyrone said indifferently, "Sophia needs a job. We come to see what position you have in your company that you can place her in?"

Sawyer's eyes were glowing, "You're willing to let your Macadam Family's treasure come to my company to suffer?"

This time, Sophia took the initiative to answer him without waiting for Tyrone to open his mouth, "I'm not afraid of hardship."

The corners of Sawyer's lips raised, revealing a smile that was brilliant to the extreme, "Good, if you're not afraid of hard work, come and be my assistant by my side. You should still be in school at this age, right? You don't have to come every day, just come if you have some free time."

Sophia thanked him, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Sawyer patted her shoulder meaningfully and said, "After all, according to seniority, I'm still your uncle."

Normal words had an extra hint of oddness when they were said by him. Sophia took a few steps back and stood farther away from him.

Sawyer recruited his secretary and asked her to take Sophia to familiarize herself with the work.

After a while, the secretary returned with Sophia. Tyrone said, "Since things are done, we won't disturb you. So we'll leave first."

"Don't go so fast," said Sawyer, who rounded the table and took out an invitation, "Tonight is my sister's birthday, and I invite you over to attend the party."

Tyrone was so reminded by him that he remembered that today was Yilia Yong's birthday.

Recently, he was always thinking about Sophia, but instead forgot about her birthday.

Receiving the invitation, he said with ease, "See you tonight then."

Coming out of the office, Sophia felt more and more pain in the place where she was bumped by the table. But due to the presence of Tyrone beside her, she couldn't say anything and could only endure it.

The elevator arrived at the floor they were on, and Tyrone beside her suddenly asked, "How's your leg?"

"Uh..."

Sophia didn't react for a moment.

Tyrone saw her stunned, slightly frowned. In the meantime, he bent down and rolled up her jeans on check whether she was injured. Sophia was very thin, and the jeans were not worn close to the body. It was easy to roll it up to her knee. The blue and purple bruises were exposed to his view. His face was slightly sunken.

"Little Uncle, I am fine. I'll just go home and apply some plaster on it later..."

As soon as her words were finished, she saw Tyrone, who was squatting in front of her, suddenly rise, take her waist and embrace her with a gentle push.

Sophia's body stiffened for a moment.

A few seconds passed. She looked at his firm jaw, hearing his faint voice: "Don't always be so strong. It's not shameful for a girl to show weakness."

Sophia unexpectedly softened, and the hand on his arm couldn't help but tighten up a bit.

Tyrone sent her back to her apartment and personally applied the plaster for her, then he was hastily called away by a phone call.

Sophia was sitting alone on the sofa, touching her leg dumbfoundedly.

The maid walked up to her and said in a low voice, "Miss, someone is here to see you."

"Did she say what her name was?"

Sophia felt strange. She lived in Tyrone's apartment and she didn't even tell Larissa. Who could know about this place?

"She didn't say that, and she only said that she was your family and you would recognize her when you saw her."

Sophia's face tensed, "I'm going out to see her."

Walking outside the apartment, she saw a familiar figure from a distance. Rosa constantly wondered around the neighborhood. Sophia had a sudden bad feeling. She was indeed Rosa!

"What are you doing here with me again?"

When Rosa saw Sophia, her eyes turned red, then her tears fell and she choked, "Sophia, your father is so anxious. Don't you want to go home and see him when he is sick?"

Seeing her haggard face, Sophia pursed her lips, "What disease did he get?"

"It hasn't checked out yet, but I saw him coughing blood the other day."
