Chapter 3 Reborn

It was all dark, and her body felt so painful as if she was run over by a car.

Her eyelashes trembling slightly, Maggie opened her eyes.

The first thing that came into view was a beautiful chandelier, and the light dazzled her eyes.

She looked around and found the room strange yet familiar. Here was... the Royal Garden Hotel where she lost her chastity.

Since then, she had never been to this place again. Why was she here?

Petrified, Maggie sat on the bed and recalled what happened.

She jumped off the building...

She didn't die? But the building was so tall, and she lost a leg. How was it possible that she survived it?

She exerted strength to prop herself up.

Different from her impression, it didn't take her much effort.

Stunned, Maggie involuntarily reached out for her right leg.

Her leg... her leg was there again.

She abruptly lifted the quilt, saw her intact leg, and almost cried excitedly. However, she was all naked.

She wrapped the sheet around her body, got off the bed, and jumped about on the floor. She didn't feel any discomfort. That was her leg and not a prosthetic one.

She rushed to the mirror and looked at herself. Her face was childish, and her big eyes clear and bright. As far as she could remember, she had never smiled again after losing her leg. She seldom went out and didn't dare to look others in the eye.

She reached out to touch her face. It was tender and delicate.

Involuntarily she turned on her cell phone to check the calendar. It was five years ago. She traveled to the past.

Heaven pitied her and enabled her to be reborn. In the past, she only read about such a thing in melodramatic novels and had never expected that it should happen to her.

In this life, she was determined to live well, love herself well, and protect her mother's legacy well.

Most importantly, she would make sure the unfaithful man and the sluttish woman get their retribution.

Didn't Heaven grant her Nirvana so that she could get back her things?

But why wasn't she reborn a little earlier? Even by one day, she wouldn't run into this.

Now, the mirror showed not only a young face but also a mark of shame.

She escaped the man arranged by Tami and broke into a stranger's room. Still, she lost her chastity. Till her death, she didn't know who the man was.

She was drugged, and her consciousness was eroded. By the time when she woke up, the man was no longer in the room.

Creak.

The sliding door of the bathroom was suddenly pulled open. Startled by the sound, Maggie looked over.

A vague figure was standing in the steamy bathroom. Stepping on the water was a pair of robust legs. Step by step, he walked out.

With a towel, he was wiping his still-wet hair. A white bath towel was wrapped around his waist to cover his sensitive spot. His figure was tall and as perfect as sculpted. He looked beautiful but disturbing.

With indifferent and scrutinizing eyes, he glanced at Maggie with a hint of nonchalance, "Awake?"

Probably because he just came out of the bathroom, his voice sounded a little hoarse. It was not unpleasant to the ear and even a little sexy.

Without a word, Maggie pursed her lips and gazed at him cautiously.

Why was he here? When she woke up in her previous life, the room was empty.
