Chapter 4 Marry Me?

"I'm sorry about what happened last night. If you like, I can marry you. If you don't, name a price." The man sounded indifferent and condescending as if he was giving alms.

His tone annoyed Maggie. She had never needed anyone's charity.

"Marry me? Name a price? What do you take me for? This is rape, and I'll see you in court." Said Maggie emotionally.

The man suddenly laughed, his voice deep and cool, "Last night, you broke into my room and toppled me on the bed..."

"Stop it."

Before the man could finish, Maggie gritted her teeth and interrupted with a blushed face. Although the drug affected her consciousness, she could remember some fragments. It was indeed she who took the initiative.

She clutched the sheet on her body, "I was drugged, and you... should have sent me to the hospital."

"Should?" The man's voice suddenly turned sullen and chilling, "No one has ever dared to say that word to me."

Step by step, he approached. Startled, Maggie took a step back and slumped to the bed.

"Do you know how much money I lost last night because of you?" The air about him was as freezing as permeant ice.

Awed by his cold air, Maggie sat on the edge of the bed blankly and didn't dare to breathe freely.

Rat-tat.

Someone knocked on the door. Leaving from her side, the man turned to answer it.

After the oppressive air disappeared, Maggie took a deep breath. She had never seen such an awe-inspiring man.

He pulled the door open. Outside stood an old man in a black Chinese tunic suit. He stood upright and spoke in a deep voice, "Mr. Miller, the client is waiting downstairs."

Maggie didn't hear clearly how the old man addressed him and only heard about the second part.

The man nodded, closed the door, and turned to Maggie, "I have something to deal with and should go. Someone will send the clothes here later. You are given time to consider my offer. When you do, come here and find Manager Mayson."

As soon as his voice died away, he tore off the towel around his waist. Taken by surprise, Maggie reached out to cover her eyes, only to find he was not naked.

She gritted her teeth and glared at him, her cheeks turning rosy.

The man opened the door and left. Maggie poked out her head and looked down the stairs. A voluptuous woman was sitting in the hotel lobby, her body wrapped in brand clothes.

They hugged upon the meeting.

Basing on the man's remarks, Maggie concluded a tag.

He was a pimp working in this hotel.

Could this woman be his original client last night? Because of her, he wasted his energy and could no longer serve this woman?

It should be like this. He mentioned he lost money last night, and that old man mentioned a client was waiting downstairs. So, this woman should be his client.

Deep down, she despised the man. Should a pimp dream about marrying her?

Could it be that he was already sick of fooling around and wanted to find a gullible woman to marry?

Pity for him, she was not that gullible.

She fumbled around the room but couldn't find a garment. Her clothes had been torn apart, which showed the intensity of their passion last night.
