Just then, Mrs. Terrell received a call.

When the policemen were about to take Chloe away, the old lady hurried over, blocking their way!

"Officers, this is a mistake. I just remembered that I left the ring in Ms. Hurley's care before going to the restroom. Old people's memories are poor, and I forgot!" Mrs. Terrell smiled apologetically at the two policemen.

The officers exchanged looks before reminding her, "Ma'am, call the police after you confirm the situation. This is a waste of time!"

After the policemen left, Ashley was struck dumb while Chloe and Ivory were also stunned. Why did Mrs. Terrell suddenly change her mind?

"Mrs. Terrell, your ring was clearly placed on the sink and taken away. Why did you say you left it in Chloe's care?" An exasperated Ashley came up and questioned her.

"It seems you know where the ring was better than Mrs. Terrell herself!" Before the old lady could reply, the attractive, deep voice of a man suddenly came over.

Chloe raised her head and spotted Soren in the lobby. Following him was Kylan.

"I... heard it from Mrs. Terrell." Ashley stuttered.

His eagle's eyes were fixed on her. "I can spare you this time if you're willing to tell the truth now." He proposed.

Ashley refused to yield, "Mr. McNeil, are you sure of covering her mistake like this? Besides, I have done nothing wrong that needs your clemency."

Faced with such an attitude, Soren turned to his assistant. Kylan took the hint, came up, and showed the phone screen to Ashley. In no time, her face turned ashen!

He then showed the same image to Chloe, Ivory, and the others.

In the video, Ashley sneaked to the bathroom, picked up the ring from the sink, and stuffed it into Chloe's locker.

Soren glanced at the woman and instructed Kylan, "Call an ambulance and the police."

In a short while, a police car and an ambulance arrived almost at the same time.

Ashley was sent to the hospital for a checkup. Her condition was fine, and she was then taken to the police station.
