"Ben? Who's this woman?"

Joyce came over early in the morning to see what would happen to the woman named Gabrielle, who had trespassed on Ben's forbidden place. But the scene she saw was astonishing.

She took a few anxious steps forward, seeing the face of the woman in Ben's arms.

"It's her?" The moment Joyce recognized Gabrielle did, her face instantly turned pale with anger, "Ben, why do you hug her like this? Were you with her last night..."

She realized something in time before asking if they spent the whole night in the wine cellar yesterday.

No one knew that it was she who had lured Gabrielle into the basement. If she had asked that, it would have been a confession.

When she thought that Ben was talking about someone else, Tom's words made her feel like being slapped directly in the face.

The housekeeper immediately stepped forward, "Miss Smith, please leave."

Joyce, "..."

"Let go!" Ben cast an icy glance at her.

Joyce was so scared that she retracted her hand at once.

Ben warned expressionlessly, "Rachel is my bottom line. Never come back here."

Although he had not yet investigated, signs indicated that Joyce used Rachel to lure Gabrielle to the basement.

Gabrielle, an outsider, treated Rachel so well, while Joyce, Rachel's mother, took her as a decoy.

She did not deserve to be in the Imperial Garden as well as see Rachel again.

After his words, Ben turned to go upstairs without giving Joyce any chance to explain.

"I..." Joyce looked at the man's back and clenched her fists.

Why? Why was it like this? Why the one who was ejected was herself instead of Gabrielle?

Staring viciously at Gabrielle, Joyce was so furious that she wanted to tear her apart.

Why did Ben treat a maid like a princess while treating her like a beggar?
