Chapter 20 Six Sons
It was a warm winter morning when the sun cast patches of light through the white curtains, filling the room.
As she woke up, Gabrielle felt the light was particularly dazzling. She raised her hand to cover her eyes and slowly opened them.
She found she was in a familiar room, spacious and bright, with simple black, white and gray decor.
It struck Gabrielle that it was Ben's bedroom. Was not it one of his three forbidden places? How could she wake up in his bedroom?
"You are awake?"
A slightly hoarse voice sounded abruptly.
Gabrielle was startled and looked over.
A man was sitting at a round table by the window, his legs elegantly crossed. He held a cup of coffee to his lips, took a sip, and put it down.
"Mr. Taylor..." Gabrielle almost called him by his name. She looked at the man in a daze for a while before realizing what situation she was in. She sat up immediately with the quilt and asked, "What did you do to me?"
Why was she in his bed? What had happened between them last night?
The scenes of yesterday flashed through Gabrielle's mind. She remembered that she had been locked in the wine cellar with Ben when the power went out, and she had saved him from a claustrophobic attack. After that, she was so tired that she fell asleep. What had happened then?
"What did I do to you?" Snorting with laughter, Ben got up and walked over.
"What are you doing?" Gabrielle held the quilt and subconsciously checked her clothes. A feeling of relief rose in her mind when she found they were intact.
"You should ask yourself what you did to me."
As the man's voice seemed to sound overhead, Gabrielle looked up, meeting his eyes.
He was so close that she could touch the tip of his nose by a slight movement.
"What did I do to you?" Gabrielle was so confused that she did not even notice that her mind was following Ben.
She was surrounded by his familiar scent, which reminded her of four years ago, as well as his coldness, elegance, and charm.
"You." Ben looked at the dumb woman and mocked, "You hugged me all night."
"No way!" Gabrielle retorted immediately. Her hatred towards him was so intense, so how could she be willing to hug him?
Ben looked at the phone on the bedside table, "The evidence is in your phone. You can enjoy it later..."
Gabrielle hastily grabbed her phone and found it was off. She quickly turned it on.
He must be lying. She did not buy his words at all.
"Woman." Ben narrowed his eyes while suddenly standing up, "Now it's time to talk about the problems between us."
At the man's meaningful words, Gabrielle stared at him, "What's the problem between us?"
A touch of panic crept up on her.
Had he figured out who she was? Could it be that he was not in a coma last night and that he heard what she said?
Gabrielle anxiously lowered her head and tightened her hands without even noticing the quilt slipped down.
Ben, who was staring at her from above, saw her bosom as she moved her head down.
He immediately turned around, "Put your clothes back on!"
It seemed like she was seducing him again.
Gabrielle then found that the collar of her shirt hung too open. She hurriedly pulled it up, straightened her clothes, and got up.
"Mr. Taylor. I don't know what the problem is between us that needs to be talked about." She managed to put on a calm expression despite her worry. She was so careless last night and did not know what Ben had found.
Knowing that Gabrielle was ready, Ben turned back.
"Sign it." He handed out a document with a cold face.
"What?" Gabrielle subconsciously took it and found it was a confidentiality agreement. It turned out that Ben was asking her to keep his claustrophobia a secret.
She was so scared at the thought that he knew who she was.
"What do you give me in return?" Gabrielle regained her calmness quickly after the false alarm.
"You..."
Ben was about to speak when the panicked voice of the housekeeper suddenly came from the bedroom door.
"Sir! There are six young boys outside who claim to be your sons and want to see you!"
Ben was baffled. When did he have six sons?
He raised his eyebrows and glanced at Gabrielle, "We'll talk later. You can think about what you want."
He turned around and walked out of the room.
Gabrielle, "..."
Six little boys? Were they...
The panic returned instantly in her heart.
The phone suddenly rang.
It was Ella.
"Gabrielle, there is an emergency. The boys are gone!"
Gabrielle was frozen with shock.
She ran outside before she hung up the phone.
She hoped that it was not like what she thought.
The little boys...
