Chapter 16 Taking Her Passbook

But if she didn't get in, she wouldn't get her passbook back, which also meant she had nothing to support her mother's treatment. After hesitating at the door for a while, Christine couldn't help taking out her phone and calling Darren.

In the evening, the night was getting darker and darker, and the cold wind blew by, blowing over her thin body. She looked so delicate. Christine dialed Darren one call after another, but no one answered after a long time. No one would have expected that inside the villa was a different picture...

"Darren... you are amazing..." A strong man leaned on an enchanting woman, and the man squinted his eyes, exuding a dangerously suffocating and powerful sense of oppression.

However, as soon as they started to feel good, the annoying phone on the table rang, and their desires were gone. Darren had to let go of the woman under him to answer the phone, but as soon as he got up, Wylie's hands were tightly around his neck and she refused to let him go. She coaxed, "Darren... don't take the phone... I want more... just ignore the phone..."

"Wylie, stop that." Darren had already lost his interest in sex, throwing off Wylie's hands and picking up the phone.

However, at a glance, he saw the name on the screen: Christine.

Seeing this name, Darren was even more annoyed. The wonderful night was destroyed by her.

He threw the phone away, got out of bed, and walked to the bathroom, his expression irritable.

"Darren, what's wrong?" Looking at Darren being impatient, Wylie was puzzled. Darren was fine just now, so whose upset him on the phone?

Wylie pouted and picked up the phone that Darren had thrown away just now. She wanted to look through the call log.

When she picked the phone up from the table, it happened to ring again, and the name still displayed on the screen: Christine.

"Why am I not surprised? Christine Taylor. No wonder Darren ignored me just now." Wylie pouted her lips and muttered out of jealousy, "Darren, it's her call. Would you like to answer it or not? She has called you repeatedly in the last few minutes. I'm wondering whether she doesn't want to let you go and take you as her money-spinner for the rest of her life."

Wylie looked at Christine's name on the phone screen contemptuously, for fear that Christine would be entangled with her fiancé Darren. If so, what should she do?

"Her? She's not qualified, okay? She can barely be my secret mistress." Darren teased in the bathroom. Christine didn't even deserve to tie his laces. An old-fashioned girl like her was never his type. "Wylie, just answer it for me. I know you can send her away."

As Darren said, he opened the shower and prepared to take a relaxing bath.

"Ok, dealing with a stupid woman like Christine is not a challenge for me at all." With a smile, Wylie pressed the answer button.

As soon as the phone was connected, Christine's calm voice came through the phone, "Darren, I am Christine, I..."

Hesitating, Christine tried to restrain her anger as she said that.

"I'm sorry, it's not Darren speaking. He is taking a bath right now, and I am Darren's fiancee. Miss, may I ask what your emergency is? You can tell me as well." Wylie played with her bright red nails, deliberately irritating Christine. She wanted her to realize the fact clearly that she, Wylie Cage, was the one who Darren had loved all the time, and he had never loved Christine, not for a single moment. So, if Christine understood her situation, she'd better be wise and stop entangling with him.

"Wylie Cage?" As soon as the woman's voice sounded, Christine knew it was her voice. In that instant, all her anger was on the edge of exploding. Christine clenched her fists and replied while she refrained her impulsion to curse, "Stop your trick. I know you are Wylie. I'm here only because I left my suitcase in the villa, and I want it back. Nothing else."

Since Christine had seen through her trick, Wylie lost her interest to continue the game, so she returned to normal and replied, "Don't make excuses to pester Darren. I'm telling you, you are no longer the hostess of this villa, and Darren is mine now."

"I just came to get my suitcase, not to find any excuses to approach Darren Wright. I'm not interested in a man who is full of crap. However, Ms. Cage, are you defending me like this because of your lack of confidence? Or are you doing this because you are afraid that Darren might lose his interest in you?" She just wanted to take back her suitcase, but Wylie was guarding herself as if she might be her rival in love once she met Darren. Wylie was afraid that Darren would be snatched away, or she had never felt safe after being with Darren from the beginning. Because she knew very well in her heart that a man who could betray other women would betray her sooner or later, so she was very upset.

"Christine, you..." Wylie's face was distorted after Christine knocked her mask off.

"Don't worry, I have no interest in a man who makes profits through deceiving women, and I have given up on your fiance. I just want to get my suitcase back and finish what's between us from now on. So you can rest assured that I won't rob him from you." Christine briefly explained her intentions here. After all, was a man like Darren Wright still worthy of her attention and caring?
