Chapter 17 Her Suitcase
No, she wouldn't be so stupid to continue this bad romance. He had destroyed her home completely. At this moment, there was nothing but hatred toward him in her heart.
"Okay, wait a moment then. I'll take out your suitcase." Every word Christine said poked Wylie's heart. Hanging up the phone while holding it tightly, Wylie was very jealous for she wasn't the one who met Darren first, "Christine, what makes you so arrogant to believe that I'm not charming enough to win Darren Over? Why do you say that I have no charm to hold Darren? One day, you'll see how I marry Darren as his wife in fine style!"
"Mrs. Grillo!" With boredom all over her heart, Wylie screamed and shouted at Mrs. Grillo, the nanny in the villa.
Mrs. Grillo was cooking dinner downstairs at that time. Hearing Wylie's screams, she hurried up from downstairs, "Ms. Cage, what happened?
Mrs. Grillo was panting, feeling frightened by Wylie's screaming voice, wondering if she had done anything wrong that offended Wylie, a tough one to serve.
"Will you help me find Christine's suitcase, as well as other daily necessities she often used in the villa? I want none of them in this villa. Just pack all of them and return them to her, then she will have no excuse to come back and bother me and Darren." Wylie got off the bed angrily as she ordered Mrs. Grillo.
"Yes, Miss. Cage, I'll on it now." Mrs. Grillo was relieved, turned around, and went to pack up the stuff that Christine had used in this villa before.
After dozens of minutes, Mrs. Grillo packed Christine's daily necessities meticulously. Taking Christine's suitcase as well, she handed them over to Wylie, "Miss. Cage, Christine's things are all here. Nothing left."
"I see. Go ahead with your work." Wylie glanced at the suitcase and a small bag, which was filled with towels, clothes, and some wedding design materials. Finding that there was nothing valuable, Wylie walked downstairs with the suitcase. She wanted to give them to Christine and warn her not to come to the villa ever again.
Christine had already stood at the door of the villa for half an hour, but nobody came out to deliver her things. Looking at the familiar doorbell, Christine couldn't help but tremblingly press it a few times, hoping to get the suitcase and leave the place which memorized her painful memories.
She had spent too much time here with Darren and he had said too many sweet lies. Every time she thought of this, she felt as if being poked with a knife. She was the one who paid so much attention to her relationship with Darren. During the half-year they spent together, Darren had been deceiving her all the time, while she was being tricked like a fool...
"Beep beep beep..."
When the doorbell rang, Wylie just walked downstairs. She quickly walked over and opened the door.
As soon as the door was opened, Wylie appeared in front of Christine. Her lace pajamas were in rose-red, and it slightly tight-fitted her body. The gorgeous silk magnified her perfect figure, especially her slender legs, which were particularly eye-catching, enchanting, and charming. Also, her delicate face, big wavy curly hair, and scarlet lips made her as showy as rose petals.
As a woman, seeing Wylie dressed like this, Christine was blushed that even her ears turned red.
Christine bit her lip tightly and burst out a few words, "Where is my suitcase?"
"It's here. I've also packed the daily necessities you used in this villa, all of them." Wylie pointed to the box under her feet but didn't mean to give it to her at all.
"Miss. Cage, is there anything else?" Christine glanced at Wylie and her suitcase and asked in confusion.
"It's okay if you want your suitcase back, but you have to promise me that you won't come here to look for me and Darren in the future. And even if you meet us elsewhere, you have to pretend not to know us, let alone tell anyone the relationship between you and Darren. If you can promise that, I will return these things to you." Wylie looked at Christine with her head in the air.
It was said that men would never forget their ex-girlfriends. Now that she finally grabbed Darren from Christine, Wylie didn't want to hear a word about Christine's history with her fiancé.
"I promise to stay away from you whenever and wherever I meet you." Christine's palms were tightly clenched into fists. She wanted to pull Wylie's hair and teach her a lesson seriously, but she knew that once she did that, there was no one there to take care of her mother who was already badly sick. Therefore, even if she hated Wylie and Darren the most, the ones who caused her mother's tragedy, she couldn't fight with them, or her mother would helpless.
"That's good to hear. You are no match for me." Wylie gained a great sense of accomplishment to see Christine put herself at her mercy.
"Can you return the suitcase to me?" The tears in her eyes were at the edge of falling, but Christine tried her best to endure that. Her passbook was still in the suitcase, and she couldn't afford to lose the money.
Otherwise, she couldn't be able to pay for her mother's medical expenses.
