Chapter 12 Useless Struggles

"It's so terrible. To gain our land, you cheated us and even hurt my daughter. Do you have any conscience?" Tina put her hands on her chest in pain, feeling sympathetic for her daughter.

"Christine, you'd better give me your phone. Don't waste time on useless struggles." Wylie had a look at Tina, who looked even paler, and stretched out a hand to Christine.

They had been driven to despair; but if they cooperated, they would obtain a suitable solatium.

Wylie's pretty hand stopped in front of Christine, forcing her to hand over the phone.

Christine bit her lower lip, her face written with anger. For the photos, Darren even asked Wylie to hurt her old mother! What a bad man!

Christine was given no other choices; her mother was more important than anything to her. "I'll give you the phone, but you can't bother my mother again!"

She stared at Wylie fiercely, feeling an impulse to tear this woman's face.

"Don't worry. As long as you give us the photos, we won't come here again. Even if we meet you, we'll pretend as if we don't know you." A trace of sarcasm appeared on her red lips. Just as Darren anticipated, Christine was willing to hand over the photos unconditionally for her mother.

"Here you are!" Angry as she was, Christine took out her phone from her bag. But when she was about to place the phone on Wylie's hand, it was snatched by her semi-conscious mother.

"No. Give the photos to the press." How could a mother be calm when her daughter was bullied by others? "Get out of my house! You can't get the phone from me!"

Wylie flew into a rage. "Then don't blame me for being hard to you. I won't let you publicize these photos."

After saying that, she turned to the two bodyguards behind her. "Get the phone for me!"

"Yes, Miss Cage!" The bodyguards began destroying this little house, smashing everything they could see, including television, table, and chairs. In a minute, the house was put in a total mess.

"Stop! Don't hurt my mom!" As the plates broke to Tina's feet, the sharp pieces almost hurt her. Christine spread her arms, afraid that Wylie would throw something at her mother.

"Christine, move away. I'm not afraid." Likewise, Tina was worried that Wylie would hurt her daughter.

"Oh? That's so touching." Wylie said mockingly. She walked up to Christine and slapped her face hard. "You can't walk out of here unless you give me the phone."

With a loud sound, Christine's face was slapped aside. She tasted blood in her mouth, and the redness was eye-catching on her cheek.

What great strength had Wylie used!

Seeing that, Tina got furious. She pulled Christine to her back and slapped Wylie's face. "How dare you beat my daughter? Shameless woman, get out of here!"

This came so sudden that Wylie couldn't dodge it. When she realized what happened, there had been a searing pain on her cheek.

"How dare you beat me?" she screamed, stamping her foot in annoyance. Since she was born, she had never been slapped by anyone like this. "Teach them a good lesson!"

The bodyguards grabbed Tina's arms immediately, trying to get the phone from her hand.

"Don't touch my mom, or I'll beat you!" Seeing her mother bullied by two robust men, Christine hurried forward and wanted to drag them away.

But Tina and Christine were not their rivals in strength.

"Beat them! I'll give you each 10,000 yuan." Wylie covered her red cheek in a huff. Born in a rich family, she had been the apple of her parents' eyes, and no one dared to irritate or hurt her. How could she allow herself to be slapped by a disgusting old woman?

Hearing what Wylie said, the bodyguards became excited. They took Christine's arms and threw her to a side with strength. Bang! Her forehead was knocked against the wall; blood flowed down and reddened her left cheek.

"Don't you beat my daughter!" Enraged, Tina wanted to fight against the two strong men. But she was just a weak woman; when she grabbed a bodyguard's collar, she was shaken off and pushed onto the ground. The phone escaped her hand and dropped to Wylie's feet.

The next second, Tina's head was hit against the wall with a thud. The blood gushed out, staining the white wall. "Ah!" she screamed out of fear!

"Mom!" Panicked, Christine cried, "Mom, don't scare me!"
