Chapter 23 - Amal
"Charlotte I'm leaving now just send me my tomorrow's schedule." Amal said walking out of his office. "Okay sir." She answered.
It was already late and he knew Sham and Jecinta had already left their offices and were gone, so he didn't pass through there to pick them up as usual. He walked to his car and hopped in then drove off to his apartment. His mind was fixed on Sham, he was falling deeper and deeper in love with her. She was all he ever needed in a woman a full package and considering what she had passed through he was perfect for her. On arrival, Amal took a warm shower changed to a black shirt and grey sweats then went to the kitchen to prepare his dinner. Memories of the previous week with Sham kept on lingering. How she prepared meals while he just stood there watching her curved body move as she chopped onions. He kept smiling to himself he just couldn't stop. She was magical, beautiful and amazing and Amal felt like she had changed his life completely. He then took his meal and sat down to eat as he watched his night show. Memories of sitting with Sham and laughing as they watched the show kept on appearing and he just couldn't stop himself from smiling. He kept biting his lip as he missed her kisses. Shortly he heard a knock at the door and wondered who that would be at such an hour. He then walked towards the door and opened it. Sham stood there, she looked different. Her eyes were swollen and she was in tears, she looked like before, like how he had met her at the hotel the first time. She stood there for a second, then placed a magazine on his chest then walked into his house. He didn't bother looking at the magazine. Thoughts started running wild in his brains. 'This must be Dennis, I'll kill that bastard.' he thought then clenched his hand as if he wanted to punch someone. She took a deep breath and wiped her tears off then looked at Amal. "One you lied to me that you are a bar manager while in real sense you are a billionaire, you even own the company I work for. Two you lied to me that your wife died while in real sense you killed her, you stabbed her. Three you are suffering from a psychiatric disorder yet you never bothered telling me. You lied to me about everything Amal, every bit of thing you said to me was a lie." She said then held her head bit her lower lip and tears kept flowing. "You lied to me Amal." She said weakly as she cryed bitterly. "Here I was thinking that I had found someone better than all the guys I've had, but you are just the worse, I was wrong about you, you are a lier, a murderer and a crazy man....."
"I am not crazy." Those words hit him hard, so hard just like before. "You are a crazy man." Those words started echoing in his mind with Sophia's tone. He wondered where she had obtained such information about him. He then remembered the magazine he had at hand then took a look at it. His eyes widened and he finally knew where she had found out all that truth. "Sham let me explain, it's not how you think it is let me explain." He said looking helpless. He moved closer to her to hold her but she moved away. "It's true I lied but trust me my love for you is not a lie." Sham laughed out loud and he got a little irritated by that. "Love! You love me! You are crazy..."
"I said I'm not crazy." He warned. "What kind of explanation do you want to give...you want to lie to me again. I hate you Amal, I hate ever meeting you, It's done, we are done." Sham said walking towards the door.
"Do you love me?" Amal asked, he wanted to know. He knew talking to her at this state would just bring more harm than good. Sham turned to face him. "I wanted to, but now I can't." She said then opened the door and left. Amal had never felt so empty in his life. But something was wrong. 'Who published this and how did he or she find out such information.' he thought. Only four people knew all that about him and one is dead that is Sophia, Ben, Marcus and him. He knew something was wrong somewhere and he had to find out.
