Chapter 3 From Heaven to Hell

"No..."

Mary opened her eyes with a start, her forehead covered with cold sweat.

After a moment of silence, she rubbed her head, sighed, and showed a desperate look.

She had no idea why was she having the same nightmare in the past two years. The scene was the same every time, and she was somehow raped by a man.

Her whole heart had been on Barry. Although there were many admirers, she kept her chastity. Such a strange dream was too odd.

In the suite, Barry also didn't sleep well. Various scenes appeared in his dream.

"Brother Barry, don't leave."

"Brother Barry, save me..."

"Ah, no, this is rape. I'm gonna sue you..."

Half an hour later, Barry also woke up from his dream with a start.

"Bubble."

He sat up awkwardly, and the hair at his forehead was wet with cold sweat. Two scenes kept spinning on his mind. One was him staying with Bubble when they were little; the other was an accident two years ago...

Barry couldn't fall asleep and held the old photo for the rest of the night. The dark circle under his eyes was obvious.

Mary, however, slept soundly out of the door. To guard the man of her dream, she disregarded everything.

At seven o'clock in the morning, the door of the suite was opened, and the head leaning against the door fell to the ground.

Barry glanced at her indifferently and strode over her.

"Brother Barry, wait for me."

Mary came to her senses, immediately followed from behind, and rushed into the elevator right before the door closed.

She looked at Barry expectantly, "Brother Barry, are you free night? I want..."

Barry broke in impatiently, "No."

"But I..."

"Shut up!"

Barry was sick of her chatter. Under his fierce gaze, Mary obediently shut up her mouth.

The elevator descended straight to the ground floor. Hanging her head, Mary didn't dare to speak again. In front of him, she was used to being humble and flattering.

When they got out of the elevator, Mary's cell phone suddenly rang.

"Hello, this is..."

"What did you say?"

Mary's pretty face immediately turned ghastly pale. Like a crazy person, she stormed out of the hotel and swerved her sports car erratically.

Barry walked out of the hotel and frowned at the panic figure. A foreboding was rising from the bottom of his heart.

When Mary made it to the hospital, it was already too late. Her parents had been sent to the morgue while his brother was treated in ICU.

The car accident ruined her family, and Mary was reduced from an heir of Yeates Group to an orphan. She fell from heaven to hell. Only those sharing similar experiences could understand her despair.

The Yeates was a wealthy family. It was Mary's parents who took the helm of Yeates Group. Now both of them perished, and her brother was in a coma. She was the only one left in the eldest branch of Yeates Family.

Before she could digest the accident, she was pushed to the vortex of a family struggle.

The family of her second uncle had been hostile to her family and harboring ill intentions. Moreover, her grandmother favored her second uncle. Therefore, the funeral of Mary's parents was rashly done within three days.

Mary's parents just died, but her second uncle began to covet the family property.

In the living room of Yeates' villa, a total of twenty, thirty relevant or irreverent people gathered up.

Mary sat there with a straight face. Those around her were gazing at her covetously.

In just three days, the heavy blow changed her personality.

"The equity of the company is left by my parents to me, so I won't sign any letter of transfer."

Mary ran her cold eyes over those uncles, aunties, and sisters. Her icy tone exacerbated the tension.
