"If you won't sign it then the next attack of the knife will be on my neck", He tells her stepping away and keeping the same knife near his neck while warning her

"Chris , I beg of you , please don't do it as I am really scared of your sudden and crazy changed behaviour , if it's a prank as you always do , then stop it right away because I have hurt you a lot and I am really not liking it"

She sobs after completing her sentence and covers her face with her hands while walking towards her room and locks it from inside as soon as she gets in as she is really feeling very guilty about her actions of hitting Chris again and again out of anger

"I am very much serious this time because I am neither pranking nor joking as each and every word which I spoke is all truth and nothing else and I will take your sign on this papers today before morning at any cost because I have very less time remaining with me from now onwards

As I am flying with her to New York tomorrow morning at 8 and it's already 10:15 PM and all I have is less than 10 hours to get your signatures on this divorce papers which will set me free from all the shackles and then I will enjoy rest of my life with her as I am fed up of you"

Chris states in high pitch while walking towards the door , Simultaneously Scarlett still tries to control her non-stop flow of tears from her eyes and speaks with a choked throat

"It means that I also have less than 10 hours to save our married life"

"Don't act stupid , just sign the papers and set me free as you know everything why I am taking such a bold step in so short period of time as nothing is hidden from you , so stop reacting like a fool and just sign the papers without stretching this issue anymore", Chris tells her while pushing divorce papers from the gap between door and the floor

Which she tears into pieces as soon as she comes across the same only to hear from the other side of the door where Chris speaks

"I already knew that it's going to happen and hence I have prepared so many copies of the divorce papers that even if you kept tearing it whole night till the morning then still I will be left with many more by morning to get your sign on it

So don't waste your energy on tearing papers but focus on what I am suggesting as it's helpful for both of us from every aspect and point of view and that's all I want from you and I am sure that you will fulfill my first and the only wish which I have kept before you"

"Why are you doing this ?, Please Chris just stop it for god sake as now it's really not funny at all", Scarlett warns him clearing her throat

"I am not joking , this is for real as I don't see any future with you ahead and rather I guess that Natasha and me are the most compatible person in this world which I realised very late , but anyways it's not even that late", Chris tells her in a tone that he is not at all ready to listen anything which Scarlett is speaking about

"It means that you never loved me ever ?, Even in the college ?, Should I consider the fact as per your so called cold behaviour", Scarlett shoots a burning question before him

"I don't know because I was just 18 when I saw you for the first time and hence I guess that it was just attraction and nothing more that that as we both liked each other's companionship and hence we both agreed to stay together forever , but now I guess I was wrong because our tastes never matched

And accept it or not but from last 6 years we both just kept on adjusting for each other which I really don't want to do anymore and neither want you also to be in this no scope relationship from now onwards"

This cold blooded statement of Chris leaves Scarlett in utter shock and so she again tears that papers only for the next set of divorce papers to come from the gap of the door and floor which leaves her hopeless again for her to utter the following statement

"You know what ?, You were the most handsome guy I ever saw before that day in my life and even today as well because I cannot think beyond you as you are like a source from which everything starts and at the very same spot everything ends for me

No matter whatever you do but I am not going to divorce you as I don't want to die and if I will divorce you than I am sure that I will die soon after that because I can't spend even a single day without your touch and the ever fresh odour of your body which has trapped me forever in kind of fairy tale land which I cannot even think to leave even in my wildest dreams"

"You should atleast come out because it's already 9:15 PM and is time for dinner after which you also have to take your medicines and if you won't follow the steps as told by doctor then you won't be fit soon and so just open the door and I promise that I won't force you for the same

And let's have normal conversation about the seriousness of the matter and henceforth we will surely reach on the proper conclusion if we discuss it with calm mind because right now you are very angry which is not good for your health and so I request you to open the door and we can have conversation over food"

Chris looks at his watch and speaks taking a deep breath after which he goes to change his clothes and Scarlett slowly opens the door and comes out only to once again settle down on the dining table no sooner she comes out of her room
