Chapter 12 Playing With Fire (Part II)
Camille had never detected anything about their conspiracy. How stupid she was!
However, Bruce was her twin brother and the only family member of Camille in the world.
Camille kept it dark that she found a private detective to investigate Bruce's whereabouts. But the fact that Jade knew it was beyond her expectation.
Was she under the surveillance of them?
Given that Jade was so cruel that she manipulated Will into murdering her, would she harm Bruce?
No, Bruce would be fine!
Camille shook her head to get rid of the irrational thoughts.
Camille had no idea why John asked Jade and Will to let go of her last minute, but Bruce was the most important reliance of John to threaten and control Camille.
Therefore, she believed that John would definitely not hurt Bruce, no matter what.
"Miss Davis, you like caring boys?" Danny asked.
Camille shot a glance at him, "That depends."
"You're disappointed by him?"
"No, I'm angry with myself."
Camille blamed herself for stupidity.
"That woman is your sister?" Danny asked again.
Camille touched Danny's lips with two fingers, "No, did you not hear that she called herself Miss Davis?"
"She is Miss Davis. What about you?"
"Though our names are related, we are enemies."
"Oh? So, why did your face change at her words?"
Camille smartly replied with a question, "What is the relation between Thomas and you?"
"An acquaintance."
"How acquainted are you?"
Camille knew that Thomas, who had an exalted position, seldom paid attention to others. That explained why Jade was so arrogant because of the apology of Thomas.
But when they were on the first floor, Thomas was clearly concerned about Danny.
Danny countered, "Why didn't you dodge Will's fist?"
"Why? Oh, that punch... I left my glasses in your pocket. I think if you deliberately refuse to return them, I can't do anything about it."
"Is there a but?"
"But you might have changed your mind if I had been beaten up at X CLUB. After all, it is you who told me to come here. If I was hurt, would you not feel guilty and give back my glasses?"
She seemed to be totally frank with him. Was she drunk?
Or did she think so?
Camille suddenly stumbled on her heels, and her forehead was about to hit the glass curtain.
Danny quickly reacted by placing his hand between her forehead and the glass.
Camille rested her arms on Danny's chest and grabbed him by the shirt collar to keep herself steady.
Due to her grab, the buttons near the collar were ripped off, exposing Danny's chest. Camille reached out and tapped on his solid muscles with her fingers, "I am a bit curious about the identity of Mr. Wilson."
Danny held Camille's fingers and said in a low voice, "Miss Davis is playing with fire."
Camille raised her head to stare into Danny's eyes and belched at him.
The smell of alcohol overwhelmed his nose.
Danny frowned and noticed an empty bottle of wine on the floor in the shadow of the arm of the sofa.
She actually had been drunk.
At this moment, Thomas opened the door. Danny left with Camille in his arms, saying, "Let's talk next time."
Thomas teased, "What? Why not now?"
Rumor had it that Danny had no interest in women.
But judging from Danny's attitude towards Camille, Thomas was keenly aware that the truth was far from that.
Was she the woman who he had been looking for since five years ago?
