"What kind of sincerity?" Donna raised her head.

"Kneel and apologize to me sincerely!" Ruby pointed to the ground and said with ease.

"What?" Donna looked grim and knitted her brows.

"Don't you get it? I said, kneel and apologize!" Ruby pointed to the ground forcefully, her eyes fierce.

Donna clenched her fists, and her eyes glittered angrily.

Offended by her gaze, Ruby sulked, "What is this attitude of yours? Don't you get it? Are you deaf?"

They reached an impasse.

Donna would not kneel but just stood there silently.

Ruby was infuriated by the unresponsive woman, "Kneel or get lost!"

Upon hearing that, Donna was not enraged but just sneered indifferently.

"How dare you..." Ruby almost snarled out of anger but did not hope to spoil her image in the presence of Karl.

"Karli, look at this maid; she's crossing the line!" She turned around and said pitifully to the silent man.

Karl took a glance at her and then turned away without saying anything.

Stunned to see him leave, she hastened to catch up, "Karli, what's wrong?"

Seemingly in anger, he didn't stop but quickened his pace.

"What's the matter? Talk to me." Ruby held his arm so anxiously and almost cried.

"Ruby, I thought you're a cultured and reasonable woman. Am I wrong?" He said calmly, but the light in his eyes made her panic.

Ruby instantly took a tumble and hurriedly explained, "I was wrong but pissed. I really like those flowers, I..."

She shook his arm like a spoiled child, "I really know my fault. I shouldn't have wrestled with a lowly maid and disgraced you."

"That's more like it." Karl reminded her, "I like sensible women and hate unreasonable shrews."

"I won't do it again, I promise." Now she was like a deflated balloon.

"Okay, dinner is ready; come on." He then walked into the villa.

Ruby followed, still intending to say something, but held back on second thought.

She wanted to ask him if he was helping that maid or really cared about her reputation.

Only she dared not to ask and had to endure it lest Karl would be angry.

At the large long table, Karl and Ruby sat together. The servants and maids stood by to provide necessary service.

Standing with other maids in a row, Donna looked at the 'master' dining with a poker face.

Ruby's sweet voice came out, "Karli, our company, will launch a product in a few days. Since you're the investor, could you go to the venue and boost my confidence?"

"Yeah, sure." He answered, but it fully demonstrated how much he doted on her.

"Thank you; you are so kind to me." Ruby couldn't help but kiss him on his handsome face.
