Chapter 10 Muddling Through

"I just care about Michelle. You finally date someone, and I'm so happy. Anyway, I'm pretty delighted as long as you develop a serious relationship, get married, and have babies!" Ivy smiled.

Thomas was really embarrassed by his mother in the presence of Michelle. After all, he was usually majestic in front of the employees. Now he lost his face, and this woman might gossip about it when she went back to the design department.

When people in the company learned that his family forced him to get married, they would laugh at him tomorrow morning. The thought of such a scene alone was killing him.

Now, he didn't want Ivy to stay in the office for another second, "Mom, could you go home? I still have a business to talk with Michi!"

"Business?" Ivy asked with a smile, "Does Michi also work at our company?"

"Mm, she's a designer from the design department!" Thomas helplessly rubbed his third eye area.

Ivy was even more satisfied with Michelle's occupation. It was a fairly decent job to work as a designer. Even if her family background was poor, she could gain unlimited glory by creating a masterpiece.

"Designer, great. When I have any style in mind, help me design it!"

Michelle had to bite the bullet and agree. Looked like she needed to please both her boss and his mother. Why life was so hard on her?

"Sure, as long as you won't mind my poor design!" Michelle forced a wry smile.

Ivy grabbed Michelle's hand, looked at her, and grew more satisfied. No wonder Thomas was indifferent to so many excellent girls that she had arranged. Turned out none of them could understand his heart. He was sort of obsessed with design. Finally, there was a girl who could enter his world, which was pretty nice.

"I certainly will not mind. Since Thomas appreciates you so much, you must be outstanding!"

Ivy's compliments actually embarrassed Michelle. If the woman knew that she was sued for suspected plagiarism, would she still make such a remark?

"Mom, go home first. We really have a serious issue to discuss. Let's talk about this when I return home from work!" Thomas hurriedly stopped the topic as he feared that Ivy would stay here all day. Too much conversation would lead to mistakes, and he didn't want to dig his own grave.

Noticing his impatience, Ivy had to give up, "Okay, okay, since you still have work to do, I'll give you space. Michelle, come home for dinner when you're free. I'll definitely cook something delicious for you!"

"Sure, I'll pay a visit another day!" Michelle nodded.

After seeing Ivy off, Michelle finally heaved a sigh of relief.

She had never been so nervous in her life. Such a drama was only watched on the TV news but actually happened to her.

Faking someone's boyfriend or girlfriend was often a practical joke. To her surprise, such a thing did happen in the real world...

Thomas also let out a deep sigh of relief. Looked like his mother would not force him to go on dates any time soon.
