Chapter 5 Him? No Way
Rat-a-tat...
Michelle knocked on the mahogany door.
There was no secretary in sight at the door of the CEO's Office, so she knocked on the door herself.
An attractive male voice came out of the office, "Please come in!"
Michelle pushed open the French door and got in.
It was just around six months after she joined the Royal Thunder Group. A designer at her level didn't have the qualification to come to the CEO's office on the top floor.
The office was quite spacious and 200 or 300 square meters at a glance.
The decoration was chic while the walls were inlaid with colorful gemstones. Under the light, they reflected brilliance.
In front of the desk by the window sat a man in a business suit. Against the light, she was unable to see the man's face clearly.
Even so, she could still feel his refined temperament, strong aura, and cold air that deterred approaching steps.
Michelle noticed the man was busy with his work and knew that she shouldn't disturb him.
Bosses' thoughts were hard to speculate. In the company, there were various rumors about this man.
Some said that he was impartial and just in the workplace.
Some said that the big boss was so grumpy that he would force any dissident out of the circle.
Others said that he liked men over women, which explained why the number of male employees was larger than that of the female employees.
Whatever he was like, Michelle didn't care. At that moment, she only prayed that the big boss would not fire her, otherwise, her future would be ruined.
Time went by. When the secretary pushed open the door and came in, it was already two hours later.
She was surprised to see Michelle still standing at the door, "Why are you still here? I thought you went back to work!"
When the secretary came back from photocopying files, she saw Michelle going to the CEO's Office.
Busy all morning, she paid no attention if Michelle came out of the office. Unexpectedly, she was still here after two hours. And why was she standing at the doorway?
Michelle smiled awkwardly. In fact, she also wanted to know why she stood there for two hours without breaking the silence. Maybe she was afraid that as soon as she spoke, the CEO would fire her?
"Our boss is so busy that I found it improper to disturb him!"
The secretary felt helpless, "Looks like you don't know our boss well. Once he starts his work, he'll forget himself. If you don't remind him, he may remember you until his work is finished. That's why I'll go to our boss immediately whenever there's anything urgent, otherwise, he's most likely to forget."
Thomas didn't raise his head and remember his request for Michelle's presence in the morning until their voices were heard.
"Miss Shaw, sorry for keeping you waiting for so long!"
Upon hearing the attractive voice, Michelle immediately looked over.
She stiffened the moment when she saw Thomas's face.
Him? No way. Wasn't he the very man in the bar last night?
Gosh, she slapped him yesterday.
