Chapter 16 The Principal's Granddaughter

Thinking about that, Tony got a rag and wiped the desk and chair carefully.

This move made the noisy class gradually quiet down.

Many girls locked their gazes on the empty seat, whispering and pushing, but none of them dared to go over.

"Tony, you want to change a deskmate?" Nicole Todd walked over and asked with a smile.

Tony waved his hand. "Miss Beard is coming."

Nicole pressed her lips and went back to her seat.

Jessi took Tessa into the classroom.

"Boys and girls, be quiet. You have a new classmate. Let's give her a warm welcome."

The faces under the platform all looked amazed.

Jessi felt it very funny.

These teenagers were so frank about their feelings.

Tessa's outstanding appearance could make such an effect wherever she went. Only adults would hide their real emotions.

"Tessa, can you make a self..."

Tessa turned around and shook her head at Jessi.

It was so silly to make a self-introduction.

Jessi swallowed. "You can find a seat and sit down now."

Tessa looked around the classroom and saw Tony.

He patted the chair next to him and got so excited that he stood up slightly.

Some girls began murmuring.

"Did Tony leave that seat vacant because of this girl?"

"Probably. His father is a School Board member, so Tony must have known there would be a transfer student."

"Do they know each other..."

Tessa had a glance at the whole class, walked down the platform, and sat next to Tony. Guess confirmed, the other students looked at each other and then Nicole.

Nicole was the principal's granddaughter, and in some way, was Tony's family friend.

On the first day of grade 10, she had kindly warned that anyone who dared to approach Tony would be expelled.

At this moment, she was staring at Tessa with a cold face.

"Tessa, don't worry! I'll protect you here..."

As soon as the class ended, Tony showed his loyalty hastily. But soon, he was called away by a teacher.

Tessa laid her head on the desk and began sleeping.

When she was in a sound sleep, the desk suddenly shook and awakened her. At the same time, her upper teeth bit her lower lip.

"Are you playing dead? Get up!" Nicole kicked the desk again.

Tessa suddenly raised her head and stabbed Nicole with her sharp stare. A surge of coldness welled up in Nicole's heart.

But she was confused when she looked at Tessa again. This girl appeared so fragile and gentle.

Nicole regained her calmness and ordered, "Tessa Wexler, move your bottom away from here."

"Thank you for your care. I feel good sitting here." Tessa said seriously.

Stunned, Nicole pointed at Tessa's face and cursed, "You're just a rustic. Do you think you're eligible to sit with a prodigy?"

"Why don't you ask Tony to sit elsewhere?" Tessa drawled, her eyes filled with sarcasm.

How dare this girl disobey her? Humiliated, Nicole shouted angrily,

"If you don't change your seat, I'll ask my grandfather to drive you out of the school!"

The principal was the most powerful figure in this school. Anyone, even if he or she was from an influential family, had to show due respect for his granddaughter.

Nicole's voice was loud and confident, but Tessa yawned in boredom and even took out her phone.
