Chapter 14 Troublesome Students
Suspicious, David gave Louise a wink.
Louise held Selma's arm familiarly. "Mom, don't be angry. It'll be your birthday next month. How do you want to celebrate it?"
"It doesn't have to be extravagant. I just want to have a good meal with you."
Selma said slowly, "I'm glad that Tessa is back, and it'll be better if Jessi and Kathy can come here that day."
Louise smiled. "And also the seniors in the company. Don't you plan to retire at 60? You can tell them about this that day."
Selma was slightly stunned. She lowered her head, lost in thought, and then nodded. "I see."
David sighed with relief and said joyfully,
"Mom, you don't need to worry about anything. I'll take good care of Tessa. After all, study is not the only way for a girl..."
...
Outside the principal's office in SD Middle School...
Tessa and another girl were sitting on a bench.
The girl was called Mona Wright. At this moment, she was chewing gum in a rude manner.
She had short hair and aggressive eyes, wearing diamond studs that glinted silver.
Her jacket wide open, she placed a leg on the other and spread her arms on the backrest, occupying most of the space.
She glanced at Tessa who was sitting on the edge of the bench.
Tessa was beautiful, and her skin seemed to be translucent.
At the moment, she had her eyes narrowed as if she was napping.
Mona hated this kind of pretentious girl the most. She couldn't resist the itch to slap Tessa on her pretty face.
But just then, Tessa turned her head.
Her eyes were radiant, and her lips curved in a faint smile of warning and derision.
Mona felt like she was drenched from head to toe by a basin of cold water, but Tessa looked away as if she hadn't moved.
Inside the office...
Doris Ross, the form teacher of class 3, grade 12, looked very strict with two clear nasolabial folds. She was questioning the principal.
"Both of them are rat shit! Why put them in my class?"
Since junior high school, Mona had been a brawler and was now the head of bullies in this area because of her family's wealth and power.
She had gone to all the schools in this city and was notorious among teachers.
As for the other student, her education record was a blank, with only "homeschooling" written on it.
With either of them in her class, Doris would miss the Best Teacher Award this year!
Next to her, Jessi had a subconscious look at the outside.
Doris's voice was so loud; if the students outdoors heard themselves be called "rat shit", they would feel sad.
Jessi said in a low voice, "Mrs. Ross, you've gone too far..."
"I've gone too far? How have I gone too far?"
As if stung by bees, Doris waved her hands and shouted even more loudly,
"What I said is the truth. You've married into a rich family, and certainly, you don't know my feeling. Why don't you take them to your class? I'm relying on the bonus to pay my son's tuition fee!"
Jessi clasped her hands together and lowered her head in silence.
The gray-haired principal tapped the desk with his fingers. "Stop arguing. These two students will enter your classes, so choose the one you like."
Hearing that, Doris stepped forward at once and took away Mona's file.
Although Mona was a troublemaker, her father had money. Anyway, she was better than that rustic.
Jessi took up the other file, but she was stunned when she saw the name on it.
