At the dining table, Leonard's grandparents kept adding food for Ashley, which made the young woman feel somewhat flattered.

"You are too slim. Eat more." The Elder Lady added a lot of meat for Ashley and served her a bowl of soup.

Sitting next to the woman and looking at his empty plate and then Ashley's full one, Leonard let out a heavy sigh and said in a pitiful tone of voice, "Hello? Grandpa and Grandma, did you forget that your grandson is here?"

"You? Help yourself." The Elder Lady glanced at Leonard with contempt, then looked at Ashley with affection.

Leonard was stunned and served himself some food, saying, "Come on, I am your biological grandson."

"Well, but Ashley is the apple of our eyes now." The Elder Master poured Ashley a glass of fresh juice without sparing a glance at Leonard. "Ashley, this is the juice from the organic oranges in our orchard. Give it a try."

"Thank you." Ashley could sense Leonard's complicated emotions without lifting her head.

"Leonard, if you're full, go to the bedroom to prepare bath water for Ashley so that she could take a bath after dinner and get changed into some casual wear," Seeing that Leonard stopped eating, the Elder Lady said.

Leonard felt aggrieved. Witnessing his grandparents doting on the strange woman so much, he had mixed feelings surging up in his heart and lost his appetite completely.

As Leonard maintained motionless, the Elder Lady urged him by saying, "Hurry up!"

Leonard nodded in helplessness and went upstairs.

"Ashley, ignore him and keep eating," The Elder Master said with a smile.

Ashley could not refuse the older couple's enthusiasm and had to enjoy the delicious dishes non-stop.

After dinner, the Elder Lady took Ashley back to the living room and asked her to taste the fruit from the orchard.

"Leonard has a bad temper. You should tolerate him. If he bullies you one day and makes you unhappy, tell your Grandpa or me. We will teach him a lesson for you." The older woman looked at Ashley with a doting smile. "Although Leonard is our favorite grandson, we won't let you suffer any grievance in the Bryant Family. Otherwise, we'll feel sorry for your parents who brought you up."

At those words, Ashley felt touched inside and nodded with soreness in her nose. "Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma. It's my honor to become part of this family."

"Good girl." The Elder Lady held Ashley's hand tightly. Seeing that Ashley was in a white shirt and a pair of jeans, she suggested, "It's hot today. Why don't you go upstairs for a bath and get changed into some loose clothes."

"I'm fine..." Thinking of Leonard upstairs, Ashley got a butterfly in her stomach.

"Go ahead. That will make you feel more comfortable." The Elder Lady added with a smile, "Leonard should have got bath water ready for you."

The older woman's caring eyes made Ashley unable to say no. "Okay, then. I'll come downstairs to chat with you later."

"No problem." The Elder Master nodded. "Leonard's room is at the end of the corridor on the second floor."

"I see." Ashley nodded and went upstairs.

The spiral staircase to the second floor was white, and Ashley stepped up step by step, her heartbeat speeding up nervously. She never expected that she would marry her idol or live in his house one day.

The stairs and corridors were covered with grey carpets. Ashley walked towards the room at the end of the passage step by step. The door of the room was ajar. Ashley knocked on it and entered. It was a spacious bedroom with simple, modern decoration, and the primary color was grayish-white. The sofa was gray, and the clean sheets and quilt cover on the king-sized bed was white. Going further inside, the woman saw a large glass door, and there was a balcony outside it. Standing on the patio, she could see the lake behind the old mansion, and the scenery was impressive.

Ashley stayed on the balcony for a while before returning to the room. She noticed another door on the other side of the hallway, which should belong to the bathroom. Besides, there was a hidden door to the large cloakroom next to the toilet. And the cloakroom was full of black suits, white shirts, and expensive shoes and wristwatches in special boxes, looking like a high-end mall in the woman's eyes.

At the scene that she could only see in TV dramas, Ashley was stunned.

Walking further inside, Ashley discovered women's articles, including big-name new dresses, shoes, bags, and various kinds of jewelry.

"Who is all this for?" Ashley stared at the clothes. "His former girlfriend, maybe?"

She sighed heavily and turned to leave the cloakroom. The door to the bathroom was closed. She pushed it open and stuck her head inside.

The bathroom was spacious, and the air was filled with a light fragrance. Ashley walked in slowly and suddenly saw Leonard lying in the bathtub with his eyes closed. She turned around in fright and wanted to get out of the room.

"Stop there." Leonard actually knew Ashley had come in. He did not expect that she wanted to escape, so he opened his eyes immediately.

Ashley stopped there, with her back to Leonard.

"Come here." Leonard's voice was emotionless, and he stared at Ashley.

Ashley closed her eyes tightly, did not turn around but stood still.

"Aren't you quite active during the last two times? Why are you pretending to be shy now?" Leonard's tone of voice was apparently ironic.

Ashley sighed heavily, bit her bottom lip, turned around abruptly, and walked over to Leonard, who was lying in the bathtub. Thanks to the bubbles inside, she could only see his strong arms and sexy Adam's apple.

"What are you looking at?" Leonard was a little annoyed when he saw Ashley staring at him. He had never seen a girl as bold and unscrupulous as her.
