Chapter 6 Catching Adultery in the Act

Chee-ah...

"Yikes!" Halfway up the mountain, Elsa cried out, lowered her head, and lifted her dress torn by branches. Her face was filled with irritation.

"Miss, are you alright?" Mrs. Reed hastened to support her.

Elsa glared at the servant, "Can't you see that I'm injured?"

Mrs. Reed cast the flashlight over and saw a long, fine slit on Elsa's leg.

She hurriedly squatted down for a closer look and then heaved a sigh of relief, "It's not serious and will not leave a scar. Miss, don't worry."

She then got up and leaned over, "Miss, I'm sorry for your suffering. We'll be back home after tonight and will not come to this hellhole ever again."

Soothed by her words, Elsa softened her facial expressions.

She would not like to stay in such a terrible place even for a moment. Lora was the real lady of the Wood family, so what? She had been living here for 17 years. She was prettier than her, so what? She was a village girl!

Elsa was invigorated by the thought that she would soon catch Lora and the wild man in bed.

With a smile, Mrs. Reed called out, "Quickly clear and light up the path for the lady. Each of you will be rewarded an extra 1,000 yuan if you render great service!"

The eyes of the accompanying villagers glittered. They rushed up to clear and light up the path. Under their escort, Elsa looked like a princess.

When they almost reached the mountain hut, Elsa deliberately found an excuse and asked the villagers to keep quiet. The people from the Wood family were instructed to rush in.

As she thought of the upcoming event, her face flushed with excitement. But before she could touch the wooden door, it suddenly creaked open.

A slender figure came out. It was none other than Lora.

Dressed in a grey dress made from the old cloth, she somehow looked brilliant. Her eyes and brows were pretty while her skin was fair and glowing. She looked as refined as a mountain elf.

A flash of jealousy and worry crossed Elsa's face. How did she wake up so early?

Lora looked flustered and quickly closed the door. Relieved by that, Elsa came up with a worried face.

"Lora, finally I found you. You didn't come back and wouldn't know how worried I was! Ah, your clothes are so thin. Let's talk inside!"

Following her words, Elsa tugged Lora and couldn't wait to push the door.

"Elsa, don't go in there!"

When Lora checked her in a panic, Elsa could barely hold back her laughter. Wonderful! The wild man was indeed in there. Lora was scared, huh? But it was too late!

Elsa impatiently shook off Lora's hand and rushed in. Mrs. Reed hurriedly took out a flashlight, ready to make everyone see the face of the wild man.

However, the moment when Elsa pushed open the door, a shadow sprang out lightning fast.

"Ah!"

Amid her scream, Elsa was pounced on by some large creature and felt a sharp pain. Her shoulders seemed scratched by its sharp claws.

Widening her eyes, Elsa saw a beast baring its sharp fangs. From its red tongue, saliva was dripping. Its green eyes looked cold and ferocious.

Appalled, Elsa held her breath for fear that the beast would rip open her throat.

Was it a dog? Damned Lora. She was determined to skin the dog and stew its flesh!

"Lora, how dare you release a dog to bite the lady!"

On the side, Mrs. Reed snarled after a moment of daze but failed to notice every villager took a dozen steps back. They paled and looked terrified.

Just then, the so-called dog suddenly arched its neck and howled towards the moon.

Owooooah...

Its howl resounded through the night sky and wilderness.

Identical howls in response came faintly from the distant mountains.

Owooooah... Owooooah...

Although Elsa and Mrs. Reed were ignorant, they knew it was not a dog barking. This was...

"Ah!"

"Wolf!"

"Help!"
