Chapter 15 A Shameless Man
After clocking out of work, Nelly said goodbye to Lynne and was pleased with the game she recommended.
Lynne felt satisfied and shocked at the same time. Nelly seemed like a weakling, but was she a hidden animal abuser?
In the underground parking lot.
She'd taken a ride in Benjamin's hitchhiker last night, but that didn't mean Nelly didn't have her own car.
Nelly's car was befitting of her status, not ostentatious or extravagant. It was not like Benjamin's car at all, which was at first glance a profiteer's car.
The parking lot was zoned by car number, and Nelly walked past, not observing someone was watching her from behind.
There was a voice on the other end of the cellphone, "Hello." It was Carlos Hanks. His usual lazy tones now sounded a little hesitant, "Well... is your wife healed yet?"
Nelly turned the corner and he completely couldn't see Nelly before Benjamin responded distractedly, "Why do you ask me this?"
"You know it! I'm the one who lured her to the private room, so I'm half responsible for her accident. Besides, my wife is very close to your wife! If she finds out about this, she'll kill me!"
Carlos' words immediately brought Benjamin back to the scene where he hurt Nelly by accident. He yelled angrily, "That's between you and your wife. Leave me alone! Do you have anything else? If not, I will hang up!"
Carlos stopped him immediately, "Don't hang up! Why are you so grumpy these days? Why don't we meet at The People's House In Paradise tonight? Hey, I heard another group of very pretty girls got hired. You..."
Before Carlos finished saying something, Benjamin just threw his cellphone on the seat and said without any expression to his special assistant Luke, "Chase."
When Benjamin said "chase," could it possibly mean chasing someone else? It was Nelly naturally!
Benjamin purposely slid the car window down as he drove past Nelly's parking space G Block 3. He was trying to get Nelly into his car when she completely ignored him and drove past his car indifferently!
Benjamin, who was trying to look cooler, immediately blew up!
That fucking woman!
Did she just see him? She must have seen him! For he did receive a contemptuous look from Nelly.
He urged Luke to follow Nelly's car with dissatisfaction. Benjamin was secretly happy when he noticed that the distance between the two cars was shortening fast. The car whose performance was good was different from those ordinary cars, and it was easy to follow the "short-legs" car of Nelly!
Nelly turned pale as she saw the rearview mirror and spotted Benjamin chasing after her like a rabid dog.
She subconsciously wanted to speed up, but on the one hand, it was after school hours and traffic didn't allow it, and on the other hand, she was already terrified of driving fast.
But it was Benjamin's subsequent actions that made Nelly frightened out of her wits!
Gradually, Benjamin had kept pace with Nelly. She even felt like she could slap the bastard if she reached out her hand.
"Pull over, Nelly Jones!" The sound of Benjamin scattered in the wind, and Nelly pretended not to hear it.
Benjamin gritted his teeth and began to threaten her like a demon, "I'm going to count to five. If you don't pull over, I'll have Luke run you over! One, two..."
Nelly's Japanese car was as useful as a chocolate teapot so it didn't even need to be bumped, it could have fallen apart with just the slightest bump.
She caught a quick glimpse of Benjamin as he stared at her and his gaze was like a knife. She felt like he was going to jump out of the window at any moment, and Nelly said a curse of "asshole" and turned on her turn signal to pull over to the nearest curb.
Looking at Benjamin in the passenger seat, and then at Benjamin's car that Luke had driven away, Nelly was confused, "Why are you following me?"
When Benjamin saw Nelly talking to him like she was going to push him a million miles away, he got a little angry and asked, "Did you just not see me in the parking lot?"
Of course she did.
But Nelly knew full well that if she did answer that way, Benjamin would feed her to the dogs. So she pretended to be confused and asked, "What, you were in the parking lot?"
Was she still pretending?
"You didn't see me? Then why are you driving so fast?" It was like a mouse meeting a cat. Was he that scary?
She looked at him with a tilt of her head. He was so handsome and good-looking and could be pleasant to any woman but her. Why was he like eating gunpowder when he saw her?
Was this necessary?
Nelly sighed silently, but she answered nicely, "I'm driving fast because I'm hungry and in a hurry to get home."
"Really? Get home." Benjamin raised his eyebrows and would have continued to sneer, but he heard Nelly ask him, "What about you? Why don't you take a limo but follow me?"
Why was Nelly so annoying!
She should be grateful that he was willing to ride in her poor car. How dare she question him with disgust!
But how should he answer her question? What if he said he was actually sorry? But for what?
Sorry for hurting her in the private room by accident, or for today's vicious "I'll be happy if you go to hell"?
Unfortunately, Benjamin's pride wouldn't allow him to bow down to the woman in front of him, "Don't you forget that as long as we're still married, this car was our joint property, do you? You say the car is yours, but I say it's mine!"
Finding Nelly looking at him as if he was a naughty child, Benjamin felt a little embarrassed, "Why are you staring at me? I wouldn't have given you the chance to drive me home if Luke hadn't suddenly had a stomachache and rushed to the hospital! Hurry! Drive me!"
"OK, drive fast? That's what you said!"
After an afternoon of playing "Your Chicks," her peace was restored. Now Benjamin was messing with her again, and this time Nelly's anger was completely ignited. So she restarted the car and accelerated so hard around the corner that Benjamin was thrown a little dizzy even with his seatbelt on,.
"Nelly Jones! It's dangerous driving and people are going to die! Do you know that?"
Nelly tilted her head and smiled coldly, "Yes, I just hate you and want you to die! Why are you so shameless and annoying?"
Benjamin met with another sudden stop when he just sat tight. If it wasn't for the fear of an accident, he would have snapped Nelly's fragile neck, "I'm shameless? How dare you say that! You can say it again!"
"Say that again? I wouldn't." She thought.
Nelly answered him with an untamed look.
"You!" Something seemed to twist in his left chest cavity and Benjamin hurriedly averted his eyes. There was no denying that Nelly's gaze just now was indeed fascinating.
