Chapter 20 A Near Escape
Capital Nightclub was a place for the rich in Dragon City to enjoy themselves.
People who showed up at this place were either in fancy dresses or custom-made suits.
Therefore, when Brenda appeared at the door in a simple white shirt and light blue jeans, someone stopped her, not surprisingly.
"Excuse me, madam. Please could you show me your membership card?"
It was quite common for a high-end consumption place like Capital Nightclub to adopt a membership system.
Brenda had never been here before. Thus, she had no idea of the rules.
Fortunately, she looked stunningly gorgeous and attractive. Her pupils were big and dark, yet her features were giving off an innocent vibe.
The doorman of Capital Nightclub had met all kinds of wealthy and influential people before. Still, he could not figure out Brenda's background.
At this moment, President Wood showed up with a smug expression on his face. "Let her in. She is a friend of mine."
He accented the word "friend" and revealed a nasty smile.
The doorman nodded at President Wood's words, and there was apparent contempt when he looked at Brenda one more time.
Brenda's expression was standoffish, and she ignored the doorman.
She had foreseen the humiliation of this night when she had promised Eva to come to President Wood.
Following President Wood to the separate room, Brenda saw that there were already quite a few people inside.
There were people in various shapes in the room, and all of them looked arrogant due to their privileged status.
However, a man sitting in the primary seat was wearing glasses and giving off a gentle, learned vibe. Especially, his nose looked pretty.
Strangely, Brenda felt that he looked l like Terry and involuntarily cast more glances at him.
Terry again!
Brenda forced herself to stop thinking about the man.
Terry's wealth was at the top, and his coldness was also unparalleled.
Upon seeing President Wood enter the room with Brenda, someone shouted, "Darren, I thought you went out for a pee. Where did you find this beauty? At the gent's room?"
At his words, those in the room all moved their eyes at Brenda.
Sensing those nasty gazes, Brenda felt as comfortable as there were countless caterpillars crawling over her body.
Darren put his arm around Brenda's slender waist and moved her closer to his fat body.
Brenda lowered her head, tamping down the inner desires to escape.
Too hard. It was too hard to do this...
"She is pretty indeed, but not meek enough. Who is good at disciplining women? Give me some tips." Darren said in a vicious tone of voice.
The man who had drawn the others' attention to Brenda was Shane Lewis, a well-known playboy in the rich circle.
Shane asked with a wicked smile, "What kind of discipline do you prefer, in a private room or in a public room?"
"Either way will do, and you're welcome to witness it." Darren's face excitedly blushed all over, and his nasty eyes were stuck to Brenda's body.
Just as the other men were unashamedly discussing how to humiliate and ravage Brenda right in front of her, the man with the glasses got up. "Well, that's too much for me. I've got to go. My brother is waiting for me. Take it easy, you guys."
Though the man looked gentle, he apparently occupied a high position among those on the scene. Thus, nobody dared stop him.
After all...
There was something wonderful waiting for them to get wild.
Josh Lloyd then walked out of the room and entered the elevator, heading to the Capital Nightclub's top floor.
The top floor of the Capital Nightclub was a place one could not get to even though he was willing to pay a large amount of money.
However, Josh arrived there smoothly.
It was not because he was someone with a special status, but because the person that he was going to see was Terry Lloyd, an incredibly powerful man in Dragon City.
One year ago, Terry became the supreme president of the Lloyd Global Group. Half a year after that, Oliver Lloyd, the family's previous head, personally chose Terry as his successor.
It was rumored that Oliver was a sophisticated, ruthless tyrant.
He had four sons. However, he skipped all of them and passed the family fortune on to Terry, his fourth grandson.
This was unprecedented in the long history of the Lloyd Family.
Also, his choice proved that Terry was different and intensified Terry's legendary brilliance.
"Terry."
A tall, noble figure was sitting on the sumptuous, comfortable couch in the room.
"You're fifteen minutes late."
Josh revealed a gentle smile and ignored Terry's standoffishness.
"I was delayed by something exciting yet nasty. But you sure don't want it to pollute your ears."
Terry lit a cigarette, holding it between his fingers instead of smoking. The smoke concealed his delicate features but could not hide his aristocratic temperament.
"Tell me about it."
Josh sat down on the couch, wearing a mild, gentle smile.
"It's rare for a workaholic like you to be interested in this. Well, I'll tell you about it. Do you know Darren Wood from Horizon Investment? A nasty lady-killer."
"He has a crush on a barely recognizable actress. It's said that the woman has slept with lots of men. However, she gave Darren the cold shoulder and made him feel extremely embarrassed. And tonight, Darren has somehow brought her here. At this very moment, Darren and Shane are forcing the girl to serve them."
While Josh was speaking, Terry put out his cigarette heavily in the ashtray.
"Which room?"
"What a poor woman...Pardon, what did you say?" Josh did not realize Terry's change until he heard his question.
Terry abruptly rose to his feet, his shadow almost enveloping Josh.
Wearing a gloomy expression on his handsome face, Terry repeated his question, "Which room?"
