"Daddy, the dishes Brenda has made are delicious. I like them. Come on and try." While speaking, he tiptoed to send a shrimp to his father's mouth.

He acted like he was the host of this place.

The shrimp tasted sweet and sour. If it were not fresh, Terry would have spat it out.

"Do you like it?" Jimmy asked curiously on behalf of Brenda.

Terry lifted his hand to gently rub his son's hair, answering, "Yes."

Witnessing the warm interaction between the father and son, Brenda found Terry less standoffish and even more handsome.

The little boy beamed with joy and picked up another shrimp to send to the woman. "Brenda, take one as well."

Brenda wanted to say no.

That pair of chopsticks had just been taken out of that man's mouth.

Brenda did not want to have an indirect kiss with Terry.

"I have a TV program to attend tomorrow. I cannot eat tonight," explained Brenda.

Jimmy's attention certainly got distracted. "What kind of program is it? Will I see you on TV?"

Brenda felt embarrassed.

It was a small-budget reality show, and the invited celebrities would make dishes on it. Except for Keith, the regular cast member who was a C-list star, the other non-regular guests were basically unsuccessful actors or actresses like Brenda.

"You won't be able to see it as it's only on at midnight," Brenda said and then added, "The good news is that it's nothing good, so don't feel sorry."

Jimmy pouted disappointedly, asking, "Why don't you attend some good shows?"

"Nobody invites me no those programs in the first place," Brenda said in a regretful tone and low voice.

Jimmy did not hear her words clearly, but Terry did.

The look in the man's eyes suddenly grew colder.

"What are you trying to say?" He asked, "I gave you a chance to propose a request the other day."

Brenda lifted her eyes to see the apparent disdain upon the man's face.

"You're taking me wrong. I didn't mean to use Jimmy to ask for resources." Her voice was tinged with bitterness.

Jimmy was like an innocent angel bringing sunshine into Brenda's life. It would be a sin already to even think about taking advantage of him.

Brenda could not bear to do that.

At the woman's words, Terry thought for a moment and then said in an icy voice, "You've done that once."

When? Brenda was confused.

She could not catch the meaning of Terry's words.

After finishing his sentence, the man's face was occupied by standoffishness and coldness.

Until Terry and Jimmy had gone, Brenda still could not figure out what she had done wrong.

On the other hand, after having a long day, Jimmy dozed off in the vehicle going back to the house of the Lloyd Family.

What Terry said next solved the puzzle. "Last week, that woman's agent asked me for ten million yuan for having saved my son, and that's why I've signed that ten-million-yuan- check."

Ralph was an elite assistant who had his own judgments. He insisted on his point by saying, "Based on my observation, Miss Shaw's care for Jimmy must be genuine."
