Chapter 16 Here Come the Troublemakers
"I will!" Carole narrowed her eyes and let out a meaningful smile.
Carole used to give consideration of Selma's status as her cousin and dared not offend her openly. However, she had changed her mind completely.
Carole decided that she would retaliate upon whoever got in the way of her studies
Eventually, Carole returned to classes.
Although Carole's enthusiasm for fashion design had never decreased, she had not taken a proper class for so long.
After a few classes, she realized that she needed to spend some time making up for her lack of expertise.
Carole used to be a good student at Aron University, and her teachers appreciated her very much. When she had to drop out of school, the teachers all felt genuinely sorry for her.
Therefore, when the teachers saw her in class again, they expressed their concern for her and gave Carole their contact information, telling her that she could contact them anytime if she had any problems in her studies.
The special attention the teachers gave Carole made some students jealous.
After the classes in the morning, Carole went to the cafeteria for lunch, and on the way, a group of people stopped her.
"Carole, let's have a talk!"
Carole knew those people, and the leader of them was Dora Lewis, a pretty but jealous girl.
Carole and Dora used to be on bad terms. Therefore, the former immediately realized that the others were going to make things difficult for her.
After casting a glance at Dora, Carole said in a standoffish voice, "We have nothing to talk about. If you want someone to talk to, find someone else!"
With that, she planned to walk away.
Dora rushed over to her, blocking her progress. "You're leaving? Did I agree?"
"Get out of my way!" Carole was furious.
She quietly clenched her fists.
"What? You want to hit me?" Dora snorted and said mockingly, "You think you're still the same princess that everyone else has to tolerate you?"
"What does it matter to you what I am?" Carole said with narrowed eyes and a vague smile.
The fact that she was taller than Dora, coupled with the powerful aura that was radiated from her anger, actually forced Dora to startle slightly.
Dora involuntarily took a step backward.
However, she quickly regained her composure.
Dora thought to herself, "This bitch has nothing now. Even if I beat her up, no one will avenge her."
She exchanged a quick glance with her companions, and the others then surrounded Carole closely.
At this moment, Selma and a few men appeared.
"Dora, you guys stop! Don't bully my cousin!"
At her words, all people present looked at Selma in confusion.
They all knew that Selma and Carole had had a fight this morning. Why was she helping Carole out?
Dora pouted her mouth, snorted, and then said, "Selma, did I hear you right? Are you trying to help her?"
"Of course, you heard me right! I have something to talk to Carole, so please get out of my way!"
"Really?" Dora looked at the boys behind Selma and suddenly thought it through. "Okay then. I'll leave you to it and give the bitch a break!"
She then waved her hand and left with her friends.
She hid herself somewhere, waiting to watch Carole and Selma hurt each other.
Selma took a few steps closer and took Carole's hand intimately. "Carole, I'm glad that those people did not harm you, or Dad will blame me tonight."
Carole furrowed her brows and gave Selma a cold glance. "Stop acting. Just say what you have to say!"
"My dad wants to take you out to dinner tonight. You'll come with me after school."
"I'm not going there!"
"But Dad said he wouldn't let me come home if I fail to take you there."
"What does it have to do with me?" Carole broke away from Selma's hand and stalked off.
"Carole!"
Feeling agitated, Selma caught up with Carole and said, "My dad has found out where Brother Noah is, don't you want to know?"
"What?" Carole paused her pause, turned back, and asked with concern, "Did you say, my brother?"
