Chapter 13 Only I Can Make Fun of My Woman
Carole did not buy the two men's words in the first place.
She stared at them intently and shook her head. "I've never heard my mother talk about this story. Mr. Morris, do you any evidence to prove that my mother has saved you?"
"Evidence?" Oscar rubbed his temples, sizing Carole up.
"Carole, what reason do you think I have to make up a story like that to trick you?"
"I..." Carole did not know what to say.
She had nothing really worth the man's attention except for her pretty face.
However, countless women in the world were prettier, sexier, and more desirable than her.
Therefore, it seemed that there was no reason for her to doubt Mr. Morris!
Carole cleared her throat and said, "Even if what you've said is true, I can't accept such generous help from you. My mother might have saved you, but she definitely did not mean to get anything back from you!"
"But, it's my principle to repay a drip of grace with a spring of water!" Oscar revealed a warm smile. "Carole, I'm sure you don't want to see your mother's condition continue to deteriorate, do you?"
Carole's heart instantly sank to the bottom.
She dared not forget her purpose for being here today.
If Mr. Morris could really save her mother, even if he was lying, so what?
Carole bowed her head meekly and respectfully. "I will accept your arrangements then!"
"Good." Oscar nodded with satisfaction.
He tapped his knuckles on the desk again.
Mr. Allen hurried to hand the contract to Carole with both hands and said with a smile, "Miss Watson, we've talked to the university on behalf of you. You will be returning to Aron University to study Fashion Design."
"Good!" Carole picked up the pen and, without further hesitation, signed her name to the contract.
With his brows raised, Oscar gazed at Carole, and said, "Remember that I am your family from now on. I will take good care of you on behalf of your mother!"
"Thank you!" Carole bowed respectfully.
At this moment, her heart was filled with gratitude for Oscar. Whether his words were true or not, her mother could finally be saved.
As he escorted Carole out, Mr. Allen whispered to the woman, "Miss Watson. Mr. Morris is a nice man. You can come to him for help with any problems you may encounter in the future."
"I see, thank you, Mr. Allen." Carole nodded and got into the car.
Just as Carole had left, Leo pulled up his car in front of the villa.
He had just finished processing Carole's re-entry into university and brought another vital document for Oscar to sign.
He was not only Oscar's assistant at work but also had to help his boss please his wife.
Leo walked into the study to see Oscar sitting in the chair with his eyes narrowed.
The corners of his mouth were curled up slightly, exuding a drowsy, contented vibe.
Little Four was napping in his arms, looking in comfort.
Witnessing the scene before him, Leo could not help but curl up his lips into a smile.
It was lovely to see the man and the cat napping together in harmony.
"Mr. Morris!" Leo faked a soft cough to break the silence. "I've gone through the formalities in college for Miss Watson and contacted the hospital as well."
After a good while, Oscar opened his eyes.
He then cast a lazy glance at Leo, saying, "Go find out who bullied Carole earlier today."
"Someone bullied Miss Watson? "Leo was a little surprised.
Who dared to be so audacious?
Oscar nodded, narrowed his eyes, and said, "No one else but me is allowed to bully my woman, do you understand?"
