Chapter 9 I need a Honey Bun

Oscar walked into a small conference room and sat on the couch, placing his long legs casually on the coffee table.

Only then did he answer the phone.

"What can I do for you?"

"Mr. Morris..." Carole's voice was low.

She hated to ask for help but had to force herself to do so.

"May I ask if you still have a shortage of servants at home? I can clean, cook, do laundry... I mean, I don't mind doing anything!"

"Nope!" answered Oscar decisively.

Was he short of servants?

No! But he did need an adorable Honey Bun.

Carole, on the other end of the line, fell silent.

After a good while, Carole said, "I see. Sorry to have bothered you!"

With that, she wanted to hang up.

Then Oscar suddenly raised his volume and said, "I do need a makeup artist though!"

"A makeup artist?"

"Are you interested?"

"Yes! Yes, I am." Carole was smiling from ear to ear.

At this moment, she felt like Oscar was her savior.

Worried that the man might go back on his words, Carole asked further, "So when can I start to work for you? Can you tell me where the workplace is?"

"You may get it started right now! Give me an address, and I'll send someone to pick you up!"

"Yes! Thank you!" Carole immediately sent the man her location and stood on the road waiting for someone to pick her up.

After hanging up, Oscar's lips slowly turned upward.

He revealed a charming but wicked smile.

That smile could even be described as lewd!

Leo's mouth couldn't help but twitch again.

He thought to himself, "Mr. Morris, you really are a bad guy!"

"You're the one who made Miss Watson lose her job, made the doctor lie about Mrs. Watson's condition, and forced Miss Watson to come to your arms!"

"Send someone to pick up Carole!" ordered Oscar to Leo.

Leo hurriedly asked someone to pick Carole up and arranged some other subordinates to do the other preparation work. Then, he reported to Oscar, "The villa is ready for Miss Watson to move in." He swallowed and then asked cautiously, "About today's meeting..."

"Dismiss the meeting!" At this moment, all Oscar could think about was Carole. He was not in the mood for the meeting at all.

Leo was kind of speechless.

Was Mr. Morris before him still the extraordinary businessman he knew?

He sighed quietly.

Carole shared the good news about her new job with Rachel and mentioned the story between her and Oscar.

Rachel was surprised, then laughed. "Why didn't you tell me such an interesting story earlier?"

"I thought that it was just an insignificant blip and had not expected him to offer me a job!"

"I'm curious about Mr. Morris right now! Carole, the fact that he didn't touch you the other night shows that he's a decent guy. When you're free again, you might consider being with him!"

"Nonsense! I'm just trying to get a job right now!"

"Okay, work hard then!" Rachel covered her mouth with one hand, smiling.

At this moment, two familiar figures came into Carole's line of sight.

"Carole!"

The woman who was waving at Carole was Nicole Lawrence, Carole's aunt.

And behind Nicole, it was Selma Watson, Carole's cousin.

At the sight of these two women, the smile on Carole's face disappeared immediately.

She turned around and planned to leave.

"Carole, I need to talk to you!" Nicole hurried to stop Carole and rushed over to her front.

"I heard that you've lost your job and that your mother's illness has worsened. Your uncle and I are very concerned about you. He asked me to bring some money for you and your mother."

Carole raised her brows and looked at Nicole. "How could you be so nice to me?"
