Chapter 2 Why Are You in Such a Hurry?

"Trial marriage?"

"Right! What's wrong? Are you scared?"

"No! I mean, I think it's too soon, don't you?" Carole smiled awkwardly, one hand unconsciously touching her earlobe.

Her skin was fair, and her earlobes were full and round, looking exceptionally pretty.

At that moment, Oscar saw another woman in Carole and could not help but cry out that person's name.

"Carolyn!"

"What?" Carole stopped stroking her earlobe and looked at Oscar quizzically, "My name is Carole!"

"Carole?" Oscar frowned.

Then a swift whiff of self-deprecation shot across his lips.

In the next moment, he leaned in closer to Carole, giving off a dominant and ambiguous vibe.

"What are you doing?" Carole hurried to move further from him.

She suddenly felt that the man before her eyes was dangerous. Had she messed with the wrong person?

However, a second thought occurred to her. If he really was a powerful man, there should be many women wanting to marry him. Therefore, there would be no reason for him to appear on such an occasion.

Therefore, he should be a handsome man with nothing remarkable about him except his outstanding appearance.

Thinking so, Carole felt more confident.

She smiled and pressed against Oscar's shoulders with one hand, then reached out with the other and gently lifted his chin. "Mr. Morris. Why are you in such a hurry? Why don't I come over to your house tonight?"

Oscar narrowed his eyes.

He hid the murderous glint in his eyes perfectly.

How dare his wife offered herself to another man behind his back! It was time for him to do something!

As they left the clubhouse, Carole snuggled up to Oscar like a little bird. But as she lowered her head, traces of cunning flashed across her eyes.

Sitting in the car, Leo watched the scene before him, and a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

It was as if he had seen President Morris ruthlessly throwing Miss Watson into the sea to feed the sharks.

As Mr. Morris did not give him any instruction, Leo dared not do anything.

Seeing Carole drag Oscar into a taxi, Leo felt numb in his scalp.

Mr. Morris was not only the top-ranked businessman in Imperial City but also the sole heir to the Morris Group. Besides, he was the Dark Emperor Group's founder, and the group had occupied a leading position in the entire East Continent. It was hard to compute how much wealth he owned, but it was fair to say that he was as wealthy as many nations.

How could he take a taxi as he was so rich and influential?

The only explanation was that he was really pissed off. Thus, Carole was going to be miserable this evening!

While Leo was thinking, his phone beeped.

It was instructions sent by Oscar.

What awaited Carole was a punishment worse than being thrown into the sea and fed to sharks!

......

Once in the taxi, Carole let go of Oscar's hand and kept her distance from him.

She said to the driver, "Please stop at that intersection up ahead. I need to do some shopping!"

Oscar immediately said, "I'll go with you!"

"No, you can just wait for me in the car." Carole hastily waved her hand.

Her goal was to get rid of the man in front of her.

If he went with her, would not her plans be ruined?

In the past ninety-nine blind dates, she had managed to get away from those men. This time would be no exception.

However, Oscar clutched Carole's hand and said with a firm gaze, "Don't forget that I'm your boyfriend now, and I have the obligation and the right to be with you!"

"Well, you're so attentive." Carole rolled her eyes, touched her earlobe, and said, "But I do like a man to be tractable. That's the first part of our trial marriage!"

"In that case, I'll be more considerate and thoughtful to you!" For a moment, Oscar stared at Carole's earlobe, then suddenly reached for her shoulder and, downward, gently touched her slender waist.

"You..." Carole petrified.

There were flames of fury surging up in her eyes.

Oscar, however, did not give her a chance to take her anger out, swiftly grabbing her hands and approaching her.

He then imprisoned her in his arms with absolute dominance.

Oscar rubbed her earlobe with his thin lips and said, "There some things not suitable for a woman to buy, you understand?"
