Chapter 3 Strangling Her to Death

Dorothy was lost in her thoughts when Zack roared, so she was frightened. Seeing Zack's disgusted expression, she hurriedly turned her head aside and her face turned red.

After Zack roared, he was in no mood to talk to her. So he turned over, fell on the bed, and turned his face so that he could ignore her.

He had nothing to talk to a woman like her. As long as they got married, she would stick to him like a brown candy and pester him for a lifetime.

Because only in this way could she get rid of poverty and live a life with fine clothes and food.

Besides, his parents were on her side as well, and they would never allow him to break up with her.

Dorothy was tired. She wanted to sleep but didn't dare to go to bed. Zack shouted at her so fiercely just now, so she was a little scared.

She retreated slowly to the sofa and sat down, feeling uneasy while recalling what had happened in the past three days.

That morning, both of their families were surprised and embarrassed to see them sleeping together. They didn't want the scandal to be spread, so they hurriedly held a wedding for them, and only invited a few guests.

They held a simple wedding ceremony in the oldest way, kowtowing to heaven and earth firstly, their parents secondly, and then they kowtowed to each other before the sumptuous dinner started. Afterwards, Mrs. White sent them into the bridal chamber.

Dorothy followed Zack into the room. Seeing him falling on the edge of the bed, holding his head with both hands and looking very upset, she was a little scared and didn't dare to get closer to him.

Until now, she was still uncertain in her heart, wondering if she would live with this man for the rest of her life.

Dorothy leaned on the sofa, thinking about the past and the future. Her eyelids struggled hard, but eventually, she fell asleep unconsciously.

Zack, however, did not fall asleep when he was lying on the bed. He was thinking if he married Blake Cotton today, would it be like this? Would he ignore her?

Of course not, it would be a great happiness to marry the woman one loved the most.

But why was the bride not Blake? Why?

Thinking of Blake, Zack became even more irritable. He got up and wanted to vent his anger on Dorothy, but saw that she fell asleep on the sofa!

Zack's eyes widened. He couldn't tell what it was like to see her asleep right now.

What kind of woman was she? On her wedding day, even if her husband totally ignored her, she didn't cry, get annoyed, or complain, but fell asleep!

After the incident the night before, Dorothy hadn't had a good sleep for two nights. Now that she was extremely tired, she could surely fall asleep.

Seeing Dorothy sleeping so soundly, Zack became angry again. He was even more assured that she had deliberately crawled into his bed.

Now that she had got what she wanted by marrying him and enjoying a good life, she could finally sleep carefree!

The thought that he was calculated by this little woman and that he could no longer be with his beloved woman, Zack was full of anger.

She was such a hateful woman that Zack wished to strangle her to death!

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He stood up impulsively, walked over step by step to the sofa, and stared at Dorothy fiercely.

Dorothy's head tilted when she slept, which was very indecent, but her delicate face was as quiet as an angel.

Her brows were frowned, as if she was still anxious about something in her sleep.

Zack stretched out his hand around Dorothy's neck.

But before his fingers could touch Dorothy's skin, Dorothy's eyes suddenly opened. She jumped up and shouted, "Dad, what's the matter with you?"

Zack was shocked and quickly retracted his hands.

Seeing that it was not her father standing in front of her, Dorothy was anxious, "Where is my Dad? Dad! Dad!"

She turned to look around, yelling as she looked for her father.

Zack knew that she had just dreamed and was not awake, so he said coldly, "Stop shouting! Your father is in his room."

"Dad!" Dorothy shouted, turned around, and was about to run out.

"What are you doing?" Zack grabbed her.

"My father fell," Dorothy said hurriedly, "I need to help him up."

Zack pulled her back and fell into the sofa, "Sit down! See it with your eyes where this place is! In my house, can your father fall down?"

Dorothy blinked for a while and realized that she was dreaming when she saw that this was the wedding house.

She explained awkwardly, "Uh, I dreamed that my father fell off the bed..."

She dreamed that her father fell off the bed, had a big hole in his head, and bled a lot, so she woke up anxiously, opened her eyes, and looked for her father immediately, which left Zack no chance to clutch her neck.

Zack ignored her and turned back to lie down on the bed.

Dorothy was still worried about her father, so she whispered, "I want to see my father."

Zack did not speak.

Dorothy hesitated for a while before opening the door and going out.
