Chapter 5 Marrying Me Would Be Fine

Edward's eyes turned red. He covered her red lips, "You wanna shout and let your brother see you under my body in the bed?" As he said that, he patted on her thigh, "Or do you want him to see me doing that with you? Hum?!"

"You, you! Rogue! You are such a pervert!" Jane was angry and annoyed. How could Stephen be friends with such a beast?!

"It was you who went to the storage room, smashed my head with a glass, and then left without caring about my life!" Edward sneered, "Answer me!" He raised his right hand and was about to hit her.

"You did that to me first! You wanted to rape me!" Jane turned her head aside and shouted, "You made the mistake at the very beginning!"

Jane breathed heavily, for fear that he might hit her with his fist.

Tears were in her eyes, and she was afraid that she would have been raped or killed by this demon before Stephen got here.

Edward stared at Jane with his bloodthirsty eyes for a long time. When Jane was finally so scared to cry, he wanted to explain, but he sneered instead in the end.

He raised his hand and patted Jane's little face, "Well, Jane Sidney, I'll let you know the consequence of hitting my head."

Edward took his hand back, stared at the girl on the bed, and stepped backwards. He pointed at Jane, "If you dare to see your brother right now and tell him about this, you'll know what I'm capable of."

After he finished, he went straight to the window and climbed out.

Jane couldn't settle her mind for a long time, and then she wiped her tears and hastened to close the window tightly.

She was still very worried. What should she do? What the hell was that man up to?!

She grabbed her phone and wanted to call her brother secretly, but she gave up in the end.

After a tough night, Jane woke up at 5:00 in the morning, and then she changed her clothes and opened her door in a low spirit.

Unexpectedly, she found the man standing in front of her with a bunch of red roses in his hand.

Jane stepped back in shock, almost falling down on the ground. She was lucky to get herself against the wall, "You..."

"I want to marry you, Miss Sidney." Edward knelt in front of her with one knee on the ground, holding the red roses and a ring to her.

Jane couldn't even believe her eyes and ears. What was this about? They only met two days ago, and their first meeting was somewhat unpleasant. Also, he even threatened her last night!

But now, he stopped her in front of her door and asked her to marry him?

"Stephen, Stephen, brother!" Jane called her brother loudly, expecting him to drive this bastard out of their house!

"He's out for research." Edward raised his lips, his eyes seeming scheming.

"..." Jane was full of questions right now, but she shook her head and told him seriously, "I'm sorry. But no matter what you say, I'll refuse your proposal. Now please get out of my way. I'm going to work."

Jane wanted to bypass him as she said that, but he grasped her wrist and pulled her against the door!

Jane's face turned pale. She remembered what had happened on the plane and what he had done to her last night...

"You hit my head before. Don't you think you should be responsible for that?" His tone turned cold as his eyes focused on hers.

Jane's face turned white, "Let go of me!" She gritted her teeth, crossing her arms in front of her chest and keeping a distance from him.

He chuckled, "I wanted to rape you only because I was drugged by my grandpa, so I lost my mind at that time. Fine, we are even now. But since I have saved your life, you should do me a favor."

"What?" Hearing that he wouldn't blame her for hitting him, she was a bit relieved.

"My grandpa wants me to get married soon. If you marry me, I can stop him from pushing me again. What do you think?"

She shook her head, "If so, you can choose any other girls."

Edward's eyes turned gloomy, "They are not as clever, capable, and sensible as you! My grandpa wants me to get myself a capable woman as my wife. I don't want to take so much trouble, so I choose you!"

"You! I won't agree!" Jane gritted her teeth and refused.

"Huh!" Edward smirked, putting a dozen of paper in front of her with his right hand, "It's the injury report of my forehead. How much do you think you will have to pay?"

Jane was startled.

"To tell you clearly, the clone project of human organs that your brother has been studied was funded by me. If you refuse me, I'll divest my money so that your brother will bear his own chagrin."

"You, you are threatening me!" Jane gnashed in hatred. How could this guy threaten her with her brother's project?!

Edward sneered, approaching her step by step, "Besides, you are the second-grade math teacher of Viaduct No.1 Primary School, right? Merit teacher? If anyone learns that you smashed others but didn't even feel sorry, do you think you can still continue your career as a teacher?"

"You!"

"The girl with you in the plane. What's her name? Betty? Do you want me to send her abroad to study? How about I send all the students in your class abroad?"

"You shameless man!" Jane shouted, "Edward Pike!" What he meant by saying sending all of them abroad was equal to make them vanish in this world.

"Ha, I didn't mean to do that. You just need to cooperate and marry me. And don't be afraid, it's just a marriage of convenience, a trade I mean. I'm not interested in you."

He then put the roses and the ring in her hand, and took out a document from his pocket, "This is the Agreement (Marriage of Convenience). If you are fine with the items, just sign it."

He went downstairs after that.

Jane was totally stunned. Her hands trembled, opening the agreement to see the details.

It was mainly about their duties, such as, their properties and debts were independent; they might live in the same house, but they would each live in their own room without disturbing each other; asexual marriage, etc., but both of them were obliged to support their parents on both sides, and when necessary, both parties would have to come forward to maintain their image of marriage.

The remarks in the agreement added that this marriage only needed to last for one year before it ended.

Edward had already signed his name and his ID number in the Party A part.

Seeming like there were no other unfair items. So signing this only meant that she would have a husband nominally.

Jane was relieved. Recalling what Edward had just said to her, she made up her mind to sign the agreement.

Getting a pen from her bedroom, she went downstairs and saw him reading books in the living room.

"I'll sign it." Jane put the agreement on the desk, signed her name, and then delivered it to him.

Edward took a glance at it, "Very good." He folded the file in his pocket, "I'll meet you in the Civil Affairs Bureau and apply for the marriage certificate at 9:00 a.m. After that, you can attend your classes."

Jane was stunned? Applying for the marriage certificate for real?

She hesitated because she hadn't got time to tell her only family, her brother Stephen about this... What should she tell him about this?

When she finally came to her senses, Edward was gone.

At 9:00 a.m., Jane drove her electric bicycle to the Civil Affairs Bureau nervously. She stopped and looked around, but didn't find Edward.

At this moment, a man rushed over suddenly, pulled the bag that Jane held on her shoulder, and fled!

Jane was taken and tripped over, "Ah!"

When her chest was about to press on the handlebars, a big hand held the front of the electric bicycle unexpectedly, and the other hand took her above her chest so that she didn't fall down!

Her heart was beating fast. She raised her eyes to look at the person who had saved her, shocked, "Ed..."
