Chapter 27 Angus, you're so cruel
Tammy was stunned, and her entire body was frozen.
She was absent-minded, leaving only her body.
Tammy hadn't known until now that there was no bottom to heartache.
At most, she had thought that Angus had married her to get her kidney. But until now, when she heard him say those words, she realized that Angus simply despised and loathed her in his heart!
He didn't even think that she was worthy of the love of any man, even that of a beggar!
So she was worse than an ant, worse than a dog in his heart!
Every word he spoke was like a knife stabbing in her heart, crushing all her self-respect.
"........"
Suddenly, Angus was startled.
The woman beneath him was numb as if she were dead.
Angus closed his eyes. His sweat fell on her eyes, but she didn't shed any more tears.
The mixture of anger, frustration, and guilt made his whole heart feel uncomfortable as if his heart wanted to explode.
"Tammy..." he opened his eyes. His murderous breath faded. He mumbled her name huskily and struggled to explain, "I...I'm not..."
He wanted to say that he didn't mean to say those words, that he was just mad as hell. He did not mean it.
After all, his anger was so strong just now and he could not control it. Even if those words were against his will.
But, the words had already been spoken, and it was hard to gather up the spilled water!
If he explained it now, she wouldn't believe it. She'd just think he was even dirtier!
"Why did you touch me...if you despise me so much...if you don't love me...why did you touch me...you took everything from me. And now you tell me that I'm worthless. Angus, you're so cruel!" She wasn't angry. She wasn't hysterical. She was so calm, but her looks were more sad and desperate than any roar in the world.
Her voice was hoarse, tears welling in her eyes. But she did not shed even a tear. She was numb without any desperate anger.
"........"
Angus had never been pushed to the point where he couldn't even say a word. And no one dared to do so.
But at this moment, he was speechless.
He couldn't even face her sad eyes.
His rapid breaths were filled with raging anger. He gritted his teeth, turned, and walked into the bathroom with a chagrined look on his face.
Angus stripped naked, letting the cold and chilling water flow over every inch of his skin. The water slid down his strong muscles, but was unable to wash away the fire inside him!
Why? Why would he touch Tammy?
The funny thing was, she was right!
If he hated her, why did he had sex with her?
He could have had a million reasons not to touch her.
But in the end, he had sex with her when he couldn't find any reason to do so.
Each time, he could not control himself, as if they'd known each other for years.
Tammy said they'd met when they were young.
But he'd never met Tammy at all.
Maybe he'd met her somewhere, but it was just too long ago for him to remember.
The only one he could remember was Sonia.
Half an hour later, Angus came out of the bathroom with a towel around his lower body.
Tammy cowered at the foot of the bed clutching the blanket, staring at him with resentment.
A stiff silence emerged between the two of them.
Suddenly, a cell phone rang.
Angus picked up his phone and answered, "Hello."
The person on the other end of the phone said something. Angus's face instantly changed. It was not as cold and harsh as before but became shocked and surprise, "I got it. I'll be right over."
After he hung up the phone, Angus stared at Tammy. His dark pupils were shining with amusement.
Against such a look in his eyes, Tammy was suddenly afraid.
What kind of look he had now? Was he proud because he'd thought of some way to torture her?
Angus didn't stare at her anymore, but went to the cloakroom.
After a few minutes, he came out and changed into a navy blue suit.
The average person could not handle this color. It was easy for them to look rustic when they dress in this color. But it is exceptionally suitable for Angus. He was not cruel, and more gentle when he was in this suit. It made people feel better.
Tammy wondered if she guessed wrong. Angus seemed to be in a better mood after receiving the phone call.
Suddenly, Angus walked towards her.
Tammy was so scared that she immediately lifted the covers to escape, but the man was so quick that he grabbed her arm and dragged her back down on the bed.
"What are you doing again?!" Tammy glared at him angrily.
Angus unbuckled the belt around her wrist and cupped Tammy's crying, swollen face in his large hands. Now he looked at her with extraordinary gentleness without any compulsion or anger, and said softly, "Tammy, don't take what I have said seriously. I'm not looking down on you. If you don't want to donate your kidney, then don't. You get some rest and tell the housekeeper what you need."
Tammy: "......"
For a moment, Tammy almost fell under his spell with such a gentle look in his eyes, as if they were back to when she was foolishly in love with him.
But in the next second, when she thought of his deception and cruelty, Tammy wanted to slap herself hard.
How could she ever hope for him again!
This man was suddenly gentle with her. He must have thought of a new way to torment her, right?
Angus kissed Tammy on the cheek, then got up and left the room.
Tammy stared at his departing back and snorted disdainfully, "Angus, I'll never love you again!"
........
Sundowner Alliance has found a suitable donor. He was an Asian American male, who has been taking to C Country and has undergone a thorough examination. He was fully compliant with all indicators.
He was ready for the transplant surgery.
After so many days of depression, the good news finally came. And Angus was relieved. He felt like a big stone hanging above his heart had fallen.
Sonia would live, and he wouldn't have to force Tammy to donate her kidney.
In the hospital room.
Bob held Sonia's hand, "Sonia, that's great. A suitable kidney has been found and the operation will be done in a few days."
These days, Bob looked several years older with gray hair from worrying about his daughter.
In his mind, Sonia was his only daughter.
Sonia tugged at her mouth when she heard the news. She wasn't too happy, "Yeah? Quite well."
"Sonia, what's wrong with you. Are you not happy?" Bob wondered.
