Chapter 26 Sleeping in his room

Coming out of the apartment in anger, Sophia couldn't stop fuming as she thought about what Tyrone had said.

She didn't understand why she was angry with him.

He was her family, and it was all right for him to say that he would take good care of her.

Why was he so angry?

She thought clearly in heart, but she felt depressed.

On Monday, there were only classes in the morning and the afternoon was free time. Sophia just happened to report to the Yonng Group, and Sawyer introduced his assistant to her to help her be familiar with her job.

It was a very simple job, just sorting the documents into different categories.

Sophia did her job handily, finishing her work early and lying on the table and thinking about Tyrone.

While she was engrossed, a dark shadow suddenly appeared in front of her.

She raised her eyes to look over, only to see the slender silhouette of Sawyer, who blocked out the pale golden afternoon sunlight. His corner of the lips outlined the evil playful smile. "Beautiful Miss Sophia, would you be so kind as to accompany me for a meal?", he said.

She wanted to go home and have dinner with Tyrone, but now she was angry and didn't want to see him.

"Okay."

Sawyer chose a famous Western restaurant. After the food was served, Sophia was a bit awkward when using the knife and fork to start eating. She looked at Sawyer sitting opposite with Elegant posture, and her eyes flickered gloomily.

They were born with nobility, just like Tyrone. And she couldn't be mentioned in the same breath with them. If they weren't related, perhaps they wouldn't have any relation in this life.

"What are you thinking?"

"Thinking about Tyr...", breaking off in mid-sentence, Sophia bit her tongue and forcefully swallowed the word 'one' back.

When Sawyer heard her words, his hands paused, and he said "Sophia..."

"Well?"

Sophia responded in a bit of panic

"Do you fall in love with Tyrone?" Sawyer didn't want to make it clear, but seeing that this little girl was not right, it's better to warn her early. If something would happen in the future, it would be difficult to handle.

"I didn't." Sophia denied without hesitation, but only she knew the monstrous waves that were created in her heart when she heard his words.

Was it because she like Tyrone, she couldn't see him stay with another woman, and couldn't hear anyone else remind her that she couldn't love him?

The recognition of this truth in her heart brought not joy, but unstoppable panic and sourness.

Because she knew how many obstacles there were between them, not to mention the fact that Tyrone didn't have any affection for her.

Sophia clutched her knife and fork tightly.

Sawyer saw all of her odd expressions, but didn't nail it, but said in a light tone, "It's good that you don't have any affection to him. Although you are not related by blood, your mother was Tyrone 's fiancée in the beginning, and the Macadam's also treated your mother as their daughter. If you have affection, it is not a good thing for you, or him."

"Don't worry, it will never happen."

Sophia 's chest clogged with a stifled breath. She answered in a muffled voice

After dinner, Sawyer offered to send her back.

Sophia refused without hesitation, "No need, I'll just take the bus back myself."

After saying that, she left without looking back.

Sawyer looked at the stubborn back of the little girl and shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

It seemed that he had offended this little girl this time.

She wouldn't even take his car anymore.

She wandered around the street until nine o'clock in the evening, and only then did he return to the apartment in exhaustion. She thought that Tyrone had already returned, but when she saw the note posted on the refrigerator, she realized that he had military exercises tonight and couldn't go home.

Looking at the empty apartment, Sophia suddenly felt that the home was so empty that it made her scary.

After taking a shower and lying on the bed, Sophia tossed and turned for a long time. When she was finally about to fall asleep, a huge thunderclap was suddenly heard outside the window. She woke up with a start, the color of her face suddenly faded cleanly.

It was raining...

She hated rainy days because it was on nights like this that her mother had her accident.

She still remembered that night when she hunkered down in her room, listening to the roaring thunder outside the window, waiting for her mother to return.

Sophia picked up a pillow and plugged her ears.

But doing so was of little use at all, and the thunder still poured incessantly into her ears, exploding her internal organs.

She was too afraid to stay in her room alone, so she jumped off the bed and ran to Tyrone 's room next door.

Lying on his bed, smelling the familiar scent, her restless heart finally settled down a bit and drifted off to sleep again.
