Chapter 5 Move out
Sophia dare not eat the food she cooked. She was afraid of being poisoned.
Sophia ignored Rosa, closed the door, and fell on the bed, sighing and thinking about how to deal with Tyrone.
This little uncle of hers had been humorless since he was a child. And it was even rarer to see a smile on his face when he later joined the special forces. The impression she had of him was still when she last saw him ten years ago. He was just twenty years old and dressed in a straw green military uniform. The military uniform made him look more heroic. His falcon-like sharp eyes could make those who looked at him intimidating.
That time he came to the Fox Family, he wanted to take her to the Macadam Family by force after the court had ruled that her custody belonged to the Fox family.
Her father refused and called the police.
They fought on the spot. She was eight-year-old then. She stood by and cried out in fear.
Later...
She did not know how, he left alone, and his fading figure became an old whitened photo in her memory.
She didn't expect to see him again after so many years, especially in such an embarrassing scene.
........
No matter how much she didn't want to see Tyrone, the next day still arrived as scheduled.
Sophia rushed to the agreed location. As soon as she saw Tyrone, her footsteps paused, and her heart also thumped non-stop. It was not because of excitement, but because of fear.
Slowly moving to him, Sophia spoke, "Uncle... no... Mr. Macadam, what are you going to talk with me today?"
She said in a low voice, low and weak as a mosquito fly humming.
Tyrone's eyebrows narrowed. Was she afraid of him?
He was not a monster, and he would not eat her.
"Sit down. Let's talk."
The low and sexy voice entered her ears. It was so attractive, but Sophia's heart was beating wildly like a derailed train.
She shyly sat on the seat opposite him. Sophia looked at her nose, not daring to look up at Tyrone.
"You order whatever you want to eat."
Tyrone handed over her a menu.
Sophia looked at his bony and slender hand. A picture quickly flashed in her mind. She busily lowered her eyes to look at the menu.
The panic in her heart turned into shock when she noticed the prices marked on it.
A dish was more than several thousand dollars. They were not food, but gold!
Sophia bit her lower lip slightly, hesitated for a moment, and ordered the cheapest salad available.
"You are eating so little. Are you on a diet?" Tyrone ordered a few more dishes as he handed the menu to the waiter.
Sophia's face reddened hearing his words, "No, I am not on a diet..."
"Well, it's not good for a girl to be too skinny. So you remember to eat more later."
"Ok."
Sophia nodded her head.
Tyrone didn't say anything else, and the scene was once cold.
He had always been a man who seldom spoke, and it was already not easy for him to take the initiative to find topics with her.
A fine sweat appeared at the tip of Sophia's nose. After a while, she gathered enough courage to ask, "May I ask you what is it that you want to talk to me about?"
"I've found a place for you to live in. So move out of Fox Family."
His voice was like the sound of a cello, melodious, and beautiful.
Sophia said, "Why... do you want me to move out and live...?"
"I had investigated your life for the past ten years. Your father and the woman surnamed Field have not treated you well. If you move out and live out, your living conditions will be better." Tyrone paused, and he slightly pursed his thin lips, "You're a member of our Macadam Family no matter what happened. Since they have not treated you well for so many years, why don't you tell us?"
