Sham sat in the car feeling exhausted. She had done quite a lot but she was now more happy and less stressed of having to get a cab to take her home. Amal sat next to her driving, he looked exhausted too. The day was a good day and Sham decided to do her best inorder to maintain the job. She also had made new friends, Charlotte and Jackie. Her life was falling in place even though she had felt so much exhausted during the weekend. "How was first day at work?" Amal broke the silence and asked looking at her then turning back to the road. "Aamh, great, I had lots of fun and plus I made new friends at least."

"Mmmh, who are this friends you made?" He asked smiling. "Jackie and Charlotte, we spent the day together and went out for lunch too, they are fun to keep around." She said smiling. Amal nodded his head. Sham was not happy with how her relationship with Jecinta had gone crooked. Jecinta was her childhood best friend and they were like sisters close. But now Jecinta was just out there hating her. "Tell me about your Dad." Amal said. Sham turned and looked at him in suprised she was not expecting such a question. "What do you mean?"

"I want us to meet our relatives before your pregnancy is visible." He said and Sham froze. 'Parents?' Sham thought. "Yes, you my aunt and uncle and me your mum and dad, what do you say." She had thought out loud. "Why so early Amal, we are just trying to fix ourselves and seeing if it will work, I don't think we should do that." Sham said. She wasn't ready, or let's face it, she was scared of another engagement which might end up into a broken one. She wasn't prepared to just have someone who her parents know then everything just shatters down same case to her and Dennis. "The last time I checked you told me that you love me and now you don't want me to meet your parents?" Amal said looking at her. They drove into Amal's house and he packed his car in silence. The discussion was not over it just needed a proper place with no distractions. "Are you serious about me Sham?" Amal asked and Sham stared at him. She was speechless, was she serious about them, did she want to really try this and make it work, was she truly inlove with this man even when she kissed him and told him she loves him. "Can we discuss this inside, please." Amal was waiting for an answer. He let out a deep sigh and his face went a little dull as if he had gotten the negative answer. Sham opened the car door and hopped out of the car, same case to Amal and the two walked into the house. Amal looked stress so he just walked straight in as if he doesn't want to hear her side of the conversation. He walked to the bedroom and started changing. "Amal, all I'm saying is that it's too early for all this." She said sitting on the bed and staring at him. "I just want an answer are you serious about me?" He asked again. Sham sighed and the held his hand and turned him to face her. His face showed disappointment. "I am crazy about you Amal, I can't stop thinking about you and our baby and I just want to love you and be with you but I'm scared. I'm scared of engagements, they all turn out well, we visit parents then something comes up and the engagement is over and I get really frustrated and exhausted by everything. I just don't want to loose you like how I've lost all the others Amal. We are going to have a baby and that's enough proof that I'm serious about you." She said. Amal stared at her for a minute then placed his hands on her waist and hugged her. She felt the heat and sank into his chest and all she felt was strong and loved and now she was sure Amal wanted her for good but her fears were still there roaming they never left. "I love you Sham, all I want is to meet your parents and let them know, I want you for myself as my wife and that I am the father of our unborn child at least they see that I'm talking responsibilities and I'm becoming man enough to let myself be known." He said as they hugged. Sham smiled. "Okay then as you wish Amal, I love you too."
