Chapter 9 - Sham
Sham opened her eyes and found herself in her room. She felt all dizzy and her head was heavy. "Damn hangover." She said trying to lift her head. She was in the same clothes she had last night only that her coat was neatly placed on the side of her bed and she wondered why Jecinta didn't even give her the chance to change to her pajamas. She couldn't remember anything that happened the previous night after karaoke. Lifting up her head and tried to get off bed felt heavy and hard. She stood up trying to stroll to the washrooms. Her knees felt like jelly and she became weaker in minute and she fell down on the floor. She needed help. She heard some activities in the kitchen and decided to just call Jecinta for help. "Jecinta! A little help here." She said dragging her body back to the bed. The door opened shortly after she managed to sit on the bed and a new face was walking in. It was a make figure, she remained mouth open and a little embarrassed. "Who are you and where is Jecinta?" She asked. The man just smiled. He was pretty tall and a short dark brown hair, his jaw was sharp and defined. His lips left her thinking of kissing it. "Amal from last night, Jecinta had to leave last night at the pub and left me in charge." He said his lips moving swiftly and humbly, she bit her lower lip then pushed the kissing thought away. "Had to leave? But she never told me." She said. 'Or maybe she did and I was too drunk to even get her words.' she thought. "Yes she didn't let you know because she was in a hurry, her husband called saying he's back from the trip and you were also pretty drunk so telling you wouldn't have changed a thing." He said. He was soft with his words like he was watching what to say and how to say it in a manner that left her wanting to know this man more. She started getting a few flash backs of him from last night. "I thought you called for help Sham." He said moving closer to her. The tension between them was evident. "Yeah I need to pee and I just fell on the floor. My head is heavy." She said not even minding her language like how this man did. "Can I?" He asked stretching his arms, strong set of arms. 'This guy is damn something.' she thought. She stretched her tiny arms too and laughed inwardly at how ironical it was. Strong set of arms, tiny weak hands that can't even give a strong blow. He then came too close and held her waist up and moved her slowly to the washrooms. She felt the warmth of this man, and his chest was just close to her, she thought of how it would feel lying on his chest and him holding her tight with his set of arms. 'Sent from heaven's she thought. Immediately they reached the washrooms he left her inside and waited outside. "I'm having a hard time trying to remember what happened last night." She said while she was in the washrooms. Amal was silent and she wondered what was on his mind. She then strolled out and in the process she tripped and fell on Amal's arms. This time Amal carried her back to bed and at least she felt the fun of sleeping on his chest. He was just awesome, if she was to sleep on such a chest for the rest of her life, she would never wake up. "Lemme check the breakfast. I'll be right back." He said then walked out of the room. He looked like he had no intentions of doing anything to her and she felt a safe chill in her heart which was quite strange. She had never felt like that in her entire life. Not even with all her five former boyfriend's. She reached for phone on the side of the bed and decided to call Jecinta.
