Chapter 67 I didn't mean to do it

The black car raced on the road. The air in the car was quiet, which even made it difficult for Sage to breathe.

Ellison Davis hadn't said a word since he left the hotel. As soon as he got into the car, he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to take a nap.

Sage Eudora recalled the hesitation, and Ellison Davis could roughly see it.

The way he looked at her was as if he could see through her. He clearly knew what she was thinking.

She thought of her performance just now, poor in terms of parallelism.

If it were any other person, they would have long since angrily slapped her after she dragged them away.

But not only did she not, even when Ellison Davis later helped her out, she did not dare hit Queenie Eudora.

All these years, she had been bullied by Queenie Eudora. She would be angry and unwilling.

But all her indignation and anger turned into compromise. She knew that she was not really a member of the Eudora Family. The orphanage was relying on her identity as "Miss Eudora" for support.

She didn't have the right to resist, and in the end, she wouldn't even be able to resist.

This was not her fault. In this world, if there was someone strong, there would be someone weak. She just happened to become a weak person.

However, this wasn't what she was thinking. She also wanted to be like Queenie Eudora, slapping anyone who didn't like her.

But she couldn't do that. If she gave someone else a slap, they might even give her two slaps and kick her out.

She drew in a small breath, trying not to cry.

The car suddenly came to a screeching halt. She couldn't sit still, and fell to the side, next to Ellison Davis.

Sage Eudora reached out to grab the chair, but it was already too late. Her head knocked against the man's shoulder. When she raised her head, she saw her closed eyes revealing a pair of deep black eyes staring coldly at her.

She froze. "Mr. Davis, I, I didn't mean to."

Ellison Davis looked at her for two seconds. When he stretched out his hand, Sage Eudora's eyes were closed subconsciously. She was trembling in fear.

However, after waiting for a while, the expected pain didn't come. Instead, his waist suddenly tightened up.

She was lifted up, and before she could react, a big hand had landed on her face, pressing her head against his shoulder.

Sage Eudora stared at him blankly. He had already closed her eyes, "Sleep for a while."

He did not speak again.

Sage Eudora did not even have time to sleep. Her palms were burning, and the cheeks close to his shoulders were very hot.

Inside her head was a vast expanse of white. She didn't know if Ellison Davis was angry, or if he wasn't.

The car stopped half an hour later, and the hand on her waist relaxed.

She sat up quickly, and Ellison Davis standing beside her looked at her.

The driver opened the door and stepped out. Sage Eudora followed closely behind him.

There was no one in the elevator. Sage Eudora slightly tilted her head. The elevator wall clearly reflected her current appearance.

It was only then she realized how bedraggled she really was. Half of her hair had already been scattered, and there was a black stain on the left side of her face. Her lipstick seemed to have crossed the line as well, spreading out from the corner of her mouth.

Sage Eudora did not expect herself to be in such a sorry state.

The elevator door opened, and Ellison Davis walked in.

She stared at his back in a daze before raising her leg and chasing after him.

Ellison Davis entered the apartment, then didn't turn up again. Sage Eudora changed her shoes, went upstairs to her room to look for clothes before going to take a bath.
