Chapter 11 Why Did the Little Kid’s Biological Mother Leave Him?
“Madam, by the way, these are rules of Presidential Palace. Sir asked you to read them in these few days and he will check your results after he returns from abroad.” Dunn passed her a thick gilding book while talking.
“What rules? How thick the book is!” Jill took it over and glanced at the exaggerating pages.
“Just read as more as you can.” Dunn didn’t answer her question and continued, “There are two taboos in the Presidential Palace. First, at the end of the first floor was sir’s study. He usually works there. There are lots of state secrets there. You can’t walk inside at all.”
“Okay I see.” Jill nodded her head. Though she knew nothing about politics, she was sensible when it came to something sensitive like state secrets.
“Second and also the most important one, don’t talk anything about young master’s mommy in this house, especially in front of sir.” Dunn reminded her prudently.
“Why?” Jill got more curious, “Does Mr. President have trouble with the little kid’s mommy?”
“It is none of your business. Just remember that this topic is a taboo in this house.” Dunn didn’t want to reveal Leon’s secrets and said so.
“Okay.” Jill didn’t insist on getting to the bottom of the matter so she stopped while hearing it. At the thought of his words, she asked again, “You said Mr. President will check my results after he returns from abroad. Is he abroad?”
“Yes. Sir visited Country A this morning on his private plane. He will be back in a week.” Dunn answered.
That was to say, she didn’t have to face him in the following week!
Thinking of this, Jill got a trace of excitement. The embarrassing scene last night was still vivid in her mind. Though Mr. President was too handsome to divert her attention, she really didn’t like staying in a room with a man.
She spent the following week in the Presidential Palace. As long as the little kid came back from school, he would follow her everywhere. Luckily, he didn’t follow her to the bathroom where she peed and bathed.
Sometimes he would consciously or unconsciously open the news channel in front of her.
“Mommy, is my daddy super handsome?” Carl Forster pointed to the TV and looked at her, asking.
Jill looked towards the direction of his finger. On the TV, Leon was shaking hands with the leader of Country A, a slight of dignity and grace appearing between his eyebrows.
Though the leader of Country A was much older than Leon, when they stood together, he was totally bested by Leon in the aura. No matter where he stood, he would be an outstanding figure. No matter how glamorous others looked like, they would be beaten by Leon.
“He is really handsome!” She couldn’t help sighing.
“Of course! My daddy is the most handsome and charming man in the world.” Carl was very proud.
Couldn’t he praise his father a bit mildly? Jill chuckled but she didn’t argue since what he said was the fact.
She was staring at the screen and the next second, Leon averted his eyes towards cameras, as if he was looking at her.
With resolution and confidence in his eyes, he behaved very calmly, which was totally unlike a young man less than thirty years old. To be honest, he deserved to be the president of a country.
Jill couldn’t help blushing and being nervous while seeing his eyes seemingly focused on her.
“So, don’t leave us behind. You, daddy and me, we three live together, okay?” Not seeing her speak, Carl looked at her with great expectations while saying.
“...” Jill didn’t expect a little child could say this kind of words which in her ears were inexplicably sad and sorrowful.
It seemed that he really lacked a sense of security at the bottom of his heart. For fear that she would leave, he consciously or unconsciously let her see his father every day and understand how brilliant he was.
Needless to say, she knew he was very brilliant. She was the one who was not excellent.
“Is that okay, mommy?” Not getting her reply, Carl was more concerned.
“Okay!” For no reason, Jill nodded her head and replied solemnly.
“Oh yeah!” Hearing her answer, Carl circled around her happily for dozens of rounds.
At the sight of his innocent look, Jill’s heart ached. He was so adorable. Why did his mother abandon him?
