Chapter 8 It took One to Know One

Nancy Lewis's face changed, "Senior Brother, please treat me to breakfast next time. You owe me one."

Lynn Evans looked at her running figure with a stiff smile.

When Nancy Lewis arrived in a hurry, the resuscitation just ended and the patient's heartbeat already returned to normal.

"What's going on?"

Julia Jones's face was full of lingering fear, "I don't know why he suddenly had ventricular fibrillation. Fortunately, it's just a scare, and he is saved."

Nancy Lewis checked the patient's pupils and listened to the heart with the stethoscope, "Watch carefully, and don't leave him alone."

"Dr. Lewis, what's the reason?"

The sound that popped out caused Nancy Lewis's heart to shudder.

Turning around.

The man wore a white T-shirt, with two straight slender legs wrapped in jeans, faintly revealing a burst of power, and his eyes were a bit secret.

Thinking that she crashed his car yesterday, Nancy Lewis took the initiative to walk up to him.

"With such a severe condition, it's normal to have ventricular fibrillation. And the cause needs further exploration. Don't worry. Your friend will be fine."

Shane Main bowed his head.

She might run all the way over, dense sweat seeping from the forehead. Her face, as white as jade, flushed because of the vigorous exercise.

The white gown was slightly larger, which made her look more slender.

There was no doubt that this woman was a top beauty.

The taut face because of her profession ruined that softness.

Shane Main could not help but think of the night a month ago. The girl under him was extremely enchanting and seductive. With the skin that was as fair as cream, and the flush under his lips...

"Mr. Main, Mr. Main?"

Seeing that he stared at herself and didn't speak, Nancy Lewis could only whisper twice.

Shane Main's eyes were a little deeper, and he opened his mouth in a tone which was as cold as ever, "You seemed to have said that he would wake up today."

Seeing that he was with somewhat unfriendly face today, Nancy Lewis bowed the head and thought seriously for a while.

Looking up with clear eyes.

"Mr. Main, it's just the beginning of today. Don't be too impatient. There is a process for anything, and I just made anticipation."

"Do doctors talk so irresponsibly nowadays?" Shane Main looked at her deeply, and an imperceptible light flashed across his eyes.

It was that damned look again, which would give Nancy Lewis the illusion that this man could see through her everything.

Almost instantly, she responded, "Are the family member so impatient nowadays?"

Shane Main looked at her, with his eyes flickering, and then he faintly said six words, "It takes one to know one!"

I was not the one like you!

Nancy Lewis turned around, told a few words to the nurse, and then walked out of the ICU ward.

With deep and complicated eyes, Shane Main took a glance at her figure. Then he put his hand in the pocket and walked to the hospital bed, looking down at him and curling up the corner of his lips.

"See, your savior is so cocky!"

The man on the bed was wordless, and the outline could not be seen from the face wrapped in gauze.

Shane Main pulled the cell phone out of his pocket and dialed a call, "Hello, what's it going on that I asked you to check the person?"

"What the hell, it's only been one night. Do you think I'm a god? Even if I'm a god, I still need to eat, sleep and shit." The person obviously wasn't pleased at the other end of the phone.

"Cut the crap and get to the point."

"Well, you win. I find it out for you."

"Oh!"

A faint light flashed in the dark pupils. Shane Main clenched the phone, "Tell me about it."

"This... It's complicated and I can't make it clear over the phone. Let's just meet and talk."

Shane Main thought for a moment, "I have no time now. Leo still isn't awake. Let's see each other at the old place at night."
