Chapter 7 We Would See Each Other Again

What did you mean?

Nancy Lewis sort of could not figure it out.

Shane Main looked at her with the narrowed eyes, "However, Dr. Lewis, if you insist on compensating, I also have no problem with that. How about leaving each other's WeChat and call!"

"Oh!"

Nancy Lewis took out the mobile phone, quickly entered the password. The moment she just touched WeChat, she only felt that the hand was empty, the phone already fell into the palm of the man.

She was angry, "You..."

"Be quiet!"

Shane Main frowned, and the fine folds in his eyelids added a little unexplainable sharpness.

Nancy Lewis was dumbfounded.

A few moments later, Shane Main shoved back the phone, bowing his head, "My WeChat and the phone call are all saved. Don't lose it!"

The slightly hot breath was puffed on the face with a hint of tobacco. Nancy Lewis took a step back and kept a distance from him.

She always felt the way this man looked at her was a little strange.

Shane Main seemed satisfied with her reaction, and his tone was somewhat careless, "Dr. Lewis, we'll see each other again!"

The rumble of the engine pulled back Nancy Lewis's thoughts, and the car let out a thick tail gas and sped into the night.

She put the phone back in the pocket and walked to the front of her car. Looking at the front beyond all recognition, she sighed heavily in her heart.

The Third Young Master of the Main Family was as arrogant and domineering as his car.

And she herself was as weak and incompetent as her own car.

...

It was eight o'clock when she got home.

She pushed open the door, and it was dark inside. Even though it was already summer, she could feel a little cool in such a large living room without turning on the air conditioning.

If the paparazzi were not too aggressive, Nancy Lewis would have had a momentary urge to answer the question.

For example, on the question of alimony, she could justifiably answer: having been married to the First Young Master of the Mac Family for several years, this house was the benefit she got.

With two bedrooms, one living room and one bathroom, it was close to the hospital. And it was developed by the Mac Enterprise, with a 70% discount, whose down payment and payment by installment were on her own.

Expect for this, there was no other benefit, but only endless trouble.

Unfortunately, who would believe it?

After Nancy Lewis ate a bowl of instant noodles and took a brief hot shower, she changed into the pajamas and crawled into the bed, ready to turn off the light and sleep.

At this point, the phone suddenly rang.

Glancing at it, she found it was a familiar number, and without much thought, she hung up the phone.

Just a few seconds later, a WeChat came in, "Sister-in-law, you already divorced my brother. Why can't you accept me?"

Nancy Lewis gritted her teeth, pressed the power off button, and threw the phone far to the side.

In these two years of her lavender marriage to Hugo Mac, it was discovered by Harry Mac, the Second Young Master of the Mac Family by accident, who had pestered her ever since.

Because of this little interlude, the sleepiness flew to the winds in a moment.

Nancy Lewis was in a trance for a moment as she hugged the thin sheet, and then she took out a small cardboard box from the drawer of the nightstand, pouring out two sleeping pills from it.

After taking the pills with water, she lay in bed like a zombie, waiting for it to take effect.

She felt that her mind was like being emptied but also like being filled with much stuff, muddled.

In fact, like all women in the world, she was greedy and obsessed with a thing called love, but God was too stingy to give it to her.

And thankfully, she was twenty-eight, and needed it little!

A sneer appeared at the corner of Nancy Lewis's mouth, and she slowly closed her eyes.

...

The next day.

Nancy Lewis woke up on time when the alarm clock rang, and prepared for going out. It was just seven o'clock when she got to the hospital.

It was still early, and she went to the canteen for breakfast as usual. A man alone was too lazy to cook at home.

"Nancy Lewis!"

Hearing this voice, Nancy Lewis stopped her footsteps to see that there was no one around, "Senior Brother, how come I always run into you lately. Could the cooking lever of the aunt lower?"

The corners of Lynn Evans's mouth twitched, "It's not because it lowers, but I just get older and don't sleep as much as I used to."

"Senior Brother, you're only thirty years old, and you still don't reach the best golden age of a man."

"Thank you for your compliment. Let's go. We didn't have dinner together yesterday, and I'll buy you breakfast today."

"Sure!" Nancy Lewis smiled and nodded.

"Dr. Lewis, Dr. Lewis!"

The nurse rushed over, panting, "The patient in the 17th bed of the ICU ward just had ventricular fibrillation, and the emergency department asks you to take a look."
