Chapter 2 Belle plotted a plan to divert the attention of the murderers

"Amelia, I think someone is whistling in that street. Let me check whether it is a safe place or not?" Belle said and turned the vehicle into that street.

"Belle, stop the vehicle here. It is better to divert their attention. They are cold-blooded murderers who don't have any mercy." Amelia said and saw the Gurkha whistling.

"Amelia, do one thing. Go inside that blue-colored house where lights are there. I will shout thief, thief. The Gurkha will see you and get inside that house by whistling. After that, everyone will get up and come outside. We will escape from the backside. I will wait for you at the back of the house. Can you jump the wall safely?" Belle asked, looking at the house.

"Sure! Please don't wait for me if I am late jumping the wall. I want you to stay safe." Amelia said and got down from the vehicle.

"Don't worry. Our plan will work out. Run fast." Belle said and opened the vehicle windows.

"Thief, Thief. Catch her." Belle began shouting from the car.

Robinson looked around and saw Amelia running into the blue-colored house. Amelia jumped from a small fencing wall to inside the house.

Belle turned the vehicle towards the backside of the house, and the car vanished away into the darkness.

"Madam, please wait. I will catch the thief." Robinson shouted but of no use as Belle drove the car fastly.

"Thief. Thief. Alert." Robinson shouted and began sounding with the stick.

Everyone who was inside their houses sleeping woke up and switched on the lights. Robinson jumped inside the house and began searching for the thief.

"Thief, Thief." Everyone in the colony came outside shouting.

"Boss, I think that girl is in that street. I can hear someone shouting there." Twenty-nine-year-old Hudson said.

"Idiot, because of you only, I missed that girl. I don't know that you are a fool who doesn't know how to drive the vehicle fastly." Thirty-five-year-old Brooks said.

"Ashton, you go and check whether the girl is in that street or not. If we send this idiot, he will spoil our plan." Brooks said and lit a cigar.

"I am sorry, Boss. I don't know that the girl will drive the vehicle fastly." Hudson said and stopped the vehicle on the side of the road.

"Do you know how much important it is to catch that young girl? If you don't bring that girl, I will kill you here only." Brooks said and got down from the vehicle.

"Don't worry, Boss. I will trace where the girl is?" Ashton said and ran into the street.

"Where is this girl? I saw her jumping inside the house. It is better to alert the members of the house." Robinson thought to himself and knocked on the doors.

"Who is it?" Twenty-eight-year-old Samuel asked and opened the doors.

"Sir, My name is Robinson. A Gurkha. A thief ran into the house. Please be alert." Robinson said from outside.

"It's OK. I will call you if I find the thief. You can go." Samuel said and closed the doors.

"Why did he not fear? I think he has much bravery. What to do now? How to catch the thief without the support of the family members from this house?" Samuel thought to himself and came out of the house.

"What happened? Did you find where the thief is?" The colony members asked.

"No. The thief will be somewhere here only. I will trace out. Please go into your houses, as the thief will become alert and escape from here." Robinson said.

"OK. Please catch the thief, as it will become a habit for the thief to enter into this colony daily." The neighbors of the colony said and went into their houses.

Amelia came out from the bushes that she hid after seeing Robinson. She went to the backside of the house and tried to jump the wall. But, unable to, as the size of the wall is more than her height. Sweat flows from her face, and she loses balance while climbing the wall. Amelia fears for the life of Charlotte and Belle, who is waiting in the vehicle.

Robinson stood outside the house and took a bubble gum from his pocket.

"Brother, what happened?" Ashton asked.

"Who are you?" Robinson asked and took the knife from his pocket.

"Don't worry. I am not a thief. I came here to discuss an important issue with you." Ashton said.

"What's it?" Robinson asked and moved towards Ashton.

"Do you know where that girl went?" Ashton asked and looked inside the blue-colored house.

"What? Do you know her? Are you her partner?" Robinson asked and kept the knife on Ashton's neck.

"Please listen to my words. Then decide what to do." Ashton said and gave his wallet to him.

"What's it? Are you trying to bribe me?" Robinson asked angrily.

"No. See the wallet properly. A photo of my wife will be there." Ashton said and looked towards the right side of the house.

Amelia understood that Ashton saw her and felt it was time to show her bravery. She covered her face with a shawl and began to climb the wall fastly.

"Boss, See there! My wife is trying to escape from the house. Leave me." Ashton said and pointed towards Amelia.

"Oh, My God! She is trying to escape. I must catch her." Robinson said and pushed Ashton away.

"Stop! Don't move." Robinson shouted and jumped inside the house.

Amelia closed her eyes and jumped the wall. She had fallen to the ground that left some injuries on her body.

"Amelia, Are you OK?" Belle asked.

"Yes. Please start the vehicle. We need to go quickly." Amelia said and got into the vehicle.

"Hey, stop!" Robinson shouted and jumped the wall.

Belle ran into her seat and started the vehicle.

Robinson ran towards the vehicle, but he didn't see the stone and had fallen by hitting it unknowingly.

"Amelia, I think they will kill this Gurkha," Belle said and looked at Amelia.

"Don't worry. The criminals want me, but not this Gurkha. Would you please drive the vehicle fastly? Otherwise, our efforts will not yield results." Amelia said and kissed Charlotte's cheek.

Belle drove the vehicle fastly, and within minutes the car vanished into the darkness.

Robinson got up and began running in the direction the vehicle went.

"Boss, I found the girl. But, she narrowly escaped from me." Ashton said.

"Idiot! Don't you know that the girl is important to us? How you missed her?" Brooks asked and took his gun outside.

"Boss, Please don't do anything. I saw her attempting to jump the wall but doesn't know whether she escaped from the house or not, as that idiot had pushed me away." Ashton said with fear.

"I will go inside and check whether that girl is there or not. You check at the back of the house. I think that the small girl is in this house. Let me go and check." Brooks said and went near to the house.

"If I cannot catch this girl, Boss will kill me. These assistants are fit for nothing." Brooks thought to himself and jumped into the house.

While Brooks is going inside the house, he hits a flower pot accidentally that makes the sound.

"Who is it?" A voice asked from inside.

"Should I have to escape or kill the persons who are there inside?" Brooks thought to himself and took the gun outside.

"Dad, The Gurkha is making sounds. Don't worry. Please go and sleep." Samuel said.

Samuel closed his eyes and sat on the chair, thinking about solving the problem that came into his life. Then, he opened the shelf and began searching for something. Suddenly, he heard the door knocking sound.

"Who is it?" Samuel shouted.

"Son, it is me. Please open the door." Fifty-year-old Johnson said.

Samuel had thrown all the things inside the shelf and locked it.

"I do not know where I kept that photo album. Dad must not see it." Samuel said to himself and opened the door.

"Dad, please come inside," Samuel said with sweat on his face.

"Samuel, Are you sleeping?" Johnson asked and wiped the sweat on Samuel's face.

"Yes, Dad. I woke up when you knocked on the doors." Samuel said.

"Son, do you remember the question that you asked me when I told your Mom that I didn't drink?" Samuel asked and sat on a chair.

"Yes, Dad. I remember asking you whether I should speak the truth or lies when Mom asked me whether you drank or not?" Samuel said.

"I told you that you must speak the truth always, and you immediately told your Mom that I drank. Do you remember that incident?" Johnson laughingly asked.

"Yes, Dad," Samuel said, and his facial expressions changed when he understood the reason behind this question.

"Good. Will you tell the truth?" Johnson asked.

"Dad, I am feeling much pressure from yesterday, not knowing how to handle the situation. Tomorrow, we are going to lose every property, including this house. I made you stand on the road with my own hands. Sorry, Dad. Please forgive me." Samuel said and had fallen onto the feet of Johnson.

"Son, Get up. I don't want my son to behave like a coward. You are a brave lion and must fight in your life. I became old and could not fight with the enemies. But, you are young. You must fight with the competitors, as you are a CEO. Remember that." Johnson said and wiped the tears of Samuel.

"Dad, I know how much struggle you faced for making this company stand in the top position. But, now, we are losing the credibility that we built up among customers, employees." Samuel said with tears.

"Samuel, when you were young, I used to work as Marketing Manager for an MNC. Your Mom used to cook for me during the early morning and keep the food in the hot carriage. I used to go to the office before you woke up. After a few days, the company gave me a huge target, and my colleagues felt that I would move away from the job, and they felt happy. Can you guess what happened?" Johnson asked.

"Yes, Dad. I feel that you crossed the target. Isn't it?" Samuel asked.

"Yes. You are correct, my boy. I reached the target and brought lucrative benefits to the company. But, I failed in life by not giving some time to your Mom to speak about her health problem. I faced the punishment for that. I lost a companion who advises and guides me—Cancer killed her body organs step by step. But, I killed her quickly by running after time to reach the targets. Then I understood the importance of balancing life with work and family." Johnson said with tears.

"Dad, please control yourself. I know that you didn't commit any mistake in Mom's issue. Please don't cry." Samuel said.

"No, My son. I committed a mistake by neglecting your Mom. After that, I lost interest in my life, but your innocent words stopped me from doing so. I used to feel guilty for not saving my wife wherever I went. The sad feeling affected my job, and I could not reach the target. The company removed me without asking the reason. At that time, your uncle, my friend Devin gave me the amount to start a business." Johnson stopped in the middle when he heard the footsteps sound.

"Dad, you be here. I will look at it." Samuel said and came outside.

He didn't see anyone outside the room.
