The three went to Emery's home together. In the new environment, Randy felt excited rather than uneasy.

"Godmother, you're so pretty. Can I marry you when I grow up?"

Randy ran to Emery who was chatting with Nora on the sofa, lay prone on her thighs, and said with his eyes glittering.

"Randy, didn't I tell you not to talk like Damian?"

Emery deliberately teased the boy, tapped the high bridge of his nose, and tested him.

"Hmm... if grandpa doesn't like me, I'll... spank him until he does. Mm, good idea, don't you think, godmother?"

Randy remembered the remark made by George and Chase when they secretly took him to play in the army.
