Chapter 6 What a Handsome Face

Zoey looked at Charlie with reluctance and finally followed Mrs. Olson, the maid, to the guest room.

"Mr. Kingsley is cold on the surface but warm on the inside. If he loves you, he will treat you well with all his heart and soul. You have no idea how good he was to Miss Thomas before..."

Remembering that Caroline was now a taboo in the Kingsley Family, Mrs. Olson stopped and left with an excuse.

Zoey surveyed the guest room, which was much better than the small house she rented. There was a large floor-to-ceiling window offering a view of the autumn.

At the thought of Charlie, Zoey walked out without unpacking her bags.

Charlie was enjoying the massage while engrossed in a thick book in his hands. His profile made her heart pound.

He looked so attractive that no one wanted to displease him.

It was said that only when someone's appearance gripped one would it had a crush on that person at first sight. If Charlie was an ugly, short, fat, bald person when they met for the first time...

Amused by her own thought., Zoey giggled and attracted Charlie's attention.

Charlie frowned, asking, "What are you laughing at?"

"You're so cold-hearted, though I forgive you for the sake of your good looks."

"Forgive me?"

"It's okay that you don't want a wedding with me. But you are even unwilling to sleep with me... if not for your handsomeness, I would have beaten you up." Zoey walked over to massage him.

"I am good at massage. As my grandmother's legs and feet ached frequently, I gave her a massage every day when I was back home. From now on, let me do that for you every day."

Seeing that Zoey was skillful and familiar with the acupuncture points of legs, the masseur did not stop her. Edward cleverly took the masseur away, leaving the two alone.

Charlie originally had no intention to talk to her, but as Zoey skilfully massaged him with her slightly rough small hands, he felt like a feather was tickling his heart, making him unable to keep calm.

"You do not need to be so nice to me ... "

Zoey raised her head and interrupted Charlie. "I know you won't like me! You don't have to emphasize it over and over again. It means you are deceiving yourself."

"I am not."

"Explanation means an excuse."

Charlie did not explain anymore as it was clear that he compared unfavorably with Zoey in terms of quarrel.

"What do you want to eat? Tomorrow I'll get up early in the morning to cook whatever you want. Dumplings, wontons, steamed buns, deep-fried dough sticks?" Zoey asked.

Charlie looked up at her, saying, "I prefer western food rather than Chinese one!"

It was out of Zoey's expectation that Charlie did not like Chinese food. As a poor girl, she rarely ate western food. All western food she knew was KFC and McDonald.

"Chinese food is way more delicious than western food. And personally, I am a big fan of Chinese food."

Charlie closed the book and, leaning forward slightly and looking at Zoey, said with a serious look, "you like Chinese food while I like Western food. Now that we are different, even in terms of diet, how can we live a happy life together? So, I advise you to reconsider our ridiculous marriage."

"My favorite is not Chinese food," Zoey replied.

"Don't tell me you're into western food now."

"No, my favorite is you."

She gave Charlie a sweet smile, which rendered him feel as if a swallow's feather brushed past his heart and made it pound uncontrollably.

Charlie realized that he was teased by the girl again.

"It's a vain attempt to resist me. I'm sincerely fond of you. You might as well sleep with me so that I may get jaded of you and do not like you anymore." She knelt at his feet and stared at him, elbows propped up on his lap, and her cheek rested on her hands.

"How about if we sleep together tonight... We... Right, I learned some postures ... Which one do you like? We can try them one by one..."

Charlie's eyebrows wrinkled tighter. "How did you learn that?"

"Learned from 'educational films.' Haven't you watch that kind of movie?"

"No!"

"Let's watch one together tonight."

Charlie was speechless.
