Camille ignored Vera's sarcasm. "Mr. Arthur, please pass my word to Mr. Williams that we are deliberating over a strategic investment project, not a general one. Now, she just needed to wait for Cherry, who shot secretly what had happened in the waiting room alongside her, to come out.

Camille whistled out of tune while walking.

When she passed an unoccupied alleyway, someone suddenly held her.

Camille was panicked and raised her leg to hit the attacker.

Unexpectedly, the person reached out his hand and easily defended Camille's attack. "Miss Davis!"

As Camille recognized the person, her alarm disappeared. She said proudly, "Danny Wilson, I've already found a way to get the project approved, so I don't need your help now."

Danny narrowed his eyes, feeling amused. "Why do you look proud like a child asking for praise and candy?"

"Nope, I'm declining the candy you offer for my good instead. Please forgive me for refusing your proposal."
