Chapter 7 Mr. Wilson (Part I)

Vera mocked, "I was just wondering who it is. It turns out to be the outcast of the Davis Family. Why can we not make you wait? You should feel honored."

Camille ignored Vera's sarcasm. "Mr. Arthur, please pass my word to Mr. Williams that we are deliberating over a strategic investment project, not a general one. If the strategic project is delayed for a long time and other companies hear the word, I'm afraid it will bring unnecessary trouble to Soaring Group's shareholders."

The temper of Vera, who was peremptory, flared up. "Camille, I am talking to you. Are you deaf or blind? Do your strategic project or shareholders matter? Anthony is my father. Will he sign your project if I disagree?"

"Miss Williams, I'm here to see Mr. Williams. Even if you are his daughter, I believe he is unwilling to listen to you regarding the business. Our project promises to benefit both flower farmers in Silk City and the shareholders of Soaring Group."

"Flower farmers? A bunch of wretches... Why should I care if they live a good life or not? As for those shareholders, are they not just a group of people who count on my father for a living? And as I say, he will never sign your project. Cut the crap now. Tom, get her out of here!"

Tom hesitated, "That..."

"Being my father's secretary for years makes you dare not follow my orders? If you displease me, I'll immediately ask my father to fire you."

Camille frowned and tugged Vera's sleeve. "Miss Williams, do not involve him in our affairs."

But unexpectedly, Vera pushed her to the ground. "Bitch! My dress is of the latest season and not yet on the market. One is worth the annual earning of your poor flower farmers. How can you afford it if you spoil it? Tom, what are you waiting for?

"Miss Davis, I'm sorry, please leave," Tom said and asked the security guard to take Camille out.

Camille said in indignation, "Mr. Arthur, the daughter of the boss as Miss Williams is, she has no right to interfere with the group's official business."

"A bunch of crap."

At the sight of Camille being taken away, Vera felt a sense of elation. She patted her sleeve and walked to his father's office with her head held high.

Outside the Soaring Group building stood Camille, whose weak look just displayed had disappeared.

Camille's original plan was to prove that Anthony did not live up to his reputation as a man who always prioritized the interest of shareholders by taking pictures that he deliberately delayed one of the group's strategic projects. She did not expect that Vera appeared and gave much more powerful evidence. With this clip which threatened to damage the perfect image established by Anthony for years, Camille did not need to worry that Anthony refused to sign the project anymore.

Now, she just needed to wait for Cherry, who shot secretly what had happened in the waiting room alongside her, to come out.

Camille whistled out of tune while walking.

When she passed an unoccupied alleyway, someone suddenly held her.

Camille was panicked and raised her leg to hit the attacker.

Unexpectedly, the person reached out his hand and easily defended Camille's attack. "Miss Davis!"

As Camille recognized the person, her alarm disappeared. She said proudly, "Danny Wilson, I've already found a way to get the project approved, so I don't need your help now."

Danny narrowed his eyes, feeling amused. "Why do you look proud like a child asking for praise and candy?"

"Nope, I'm declining the candy you offer for my good instead. Please forgive me for refusing your proposal."

"Oh, Miss Davis also thinks that my proposal is a candy?"
