Chapter 18 Mr. Moore Stopped His Abstinence
Back then, she would seduce and hug him like a spoiled child.
And now?
She no longer vied or clamored for anything. She was so peaceful, like a different person.
Jennifer, how I wish you could turn your charm on me, throw a tantrum, dominate me, and make me jealous again!
Ethan took a deep breath to suppress his sad feelings.
He took out his wallet, produced a credit card, and handed it to her, "Aren't you going shopping with Daphne later? This card is unlimited, buy whatever you like!"
Jennifer intended to decline since she had cards herself. Then again... since he offered, she could just take it and not use it, thus avoiding unnecessary conflict.
"Okay, thanks!" Jennifer put the card away.
Daphne hung up the phone, returned to the booth, and grabbed her hand, "Jennifer, let's go! It's all set."
They were about to leave when... someone suddenly pushed open the door. Something crossed his mind, and Ethan frowned.
As expected, a familiar voice... came over, "According to the manager, you bring two women here for lunch. Thurman and I didn't believe it, so here we are for the truth."
"Looks like Ethan stopped his abstinence!" Thurman Rawls's eyes swiveled, but he soon regained his composure.
"Yeah, our ascetic boy finally got a woman." Curran Brooks raved.
Jennifer looked over and saw two dashing men. The first speaker looked reserved and refined. No doubt about it, he came from a rich family. The other one, named Thurman, had an elegant temperament as well as calm, deep eyes.
They should also be masters of the Ogden Group!
While Jennifer was wondering if she should greet them, Ethan walked up, "Go shopping with Daphne, I'll take care of this."
"Mm..." She nodded.
"No need to think much about it, I'll introduce you to them another day." He explained.
"Okay!" Jennifer chuckled to indicate her understanding.
When Jennifer and Daphne were just about to leave, Curran asked, "Ethan, you mean it this time? You will introduce us?"
"As good as gold." Thurman picked up the conversation and continued slowly, "Didn't you see the ring on her? Is it the one Ethan spent 100 million to customize?"
"What? She..." Curran was more surprised.
If it were another person, he would hum indifferently at best. Now they were talking about Ethan, a man who had never been close to women. This certainly gave rise to curiosity and speculation.
Ethan cut in coldly, "Okay, enough for your speculation. When the time comes, I'll bring her to visit you!"
Curran opened his mouth, but Ethan beat him to say, "You can go now, I still have some unfinished business!"
As soon as his voice died away, he walked towards the entrance of the hotel. Daphne grabbed Jennifer's hand, suggesting, "Brother-in-law, my sister and I can hail a taxi. Come and pick her up in the evening."
"Okay, I'll be there!" Ethan said to Jennifer.
She nodded her head.
After Ethan left, Jennifer told her sister, "Daphne, I have two things to tell you."
"Mm... I'm listening."
Jennifer cleared her throat, "You can just call him Ethan!"
