Chapter 15 The Prospective Daughter-in-Law

After having breakfast, Mia cleaned herself up under Dylan's gaze. Still, it was only eight o'clock.

It was still early. Thus, Mia decided to talk to the mam about the pre-marital rules. Their marriage was based on a mutually beneficial relationship, and both parties did not want to end up entangled.

To prevent any misunderstandings from happening in the future, it was better for them to make everything clear beforehand.

Mia made a cup of tea for Dylan and placed it before him. Dylan saw Mia get seated across from him with his brows raised and waited with interest for what she was going to say.

After hesitating for about three to four minutes, Mia fixed her bright, watery eyes on the man.

Without a trace of admiration or affection, Mia asked calmly, "Mr. Powell, I'm wondering when will our deal comes to an end?"

Mia looked at Dylan with a serious expression in her eyes. It was undeniable that Dylan was good-looking and outstanding in terms of temperament. And his masculine charm was almost fatal.

But for Mia, Dylan was the young master of the Powell Family, and she could not afford to offend him.

"It'll end once I find a woman I like. Don't worry. It won't take long. I'm already thirty. If I don't get married soon, I'll miss my prime time to give birth to a baby."

Mia thought that Dylan did have a point.

Dylan was in his thirties. He would get married in at most four or five years.

Even four or five years later, Mia was only twenty-six or seven.

That was acceptable.

Mia nodded, saying, "In that case, let's get married! But after that, we'll lead our lives independently. On necessary occasions, of course, we'll cooperate. You can trust me. I won't pester you."

"Sure. I believe in my choice!"

A cunning brilliance flashed across Dylan's eyes. He would like her to pester him! In thirty years, Mia was the first woman he found interesting.

Dylan was always clear about what he wanted and used to being forward.

He was not going to miss such an adorable lady.

Inwardly, Dylan told himself to keep an eye on Mia, who was easy to get tricked. He did not want someone else to take her away from him.

After closing the deal, Mia felt much relieved even though they did not draft a paper contract.

In fact, she literally had nothing to lose to Dylan.

At this point, Mia had no idea that what Dylan aimed at was her as a woman.

The moment the second hand of the clock reached twelve when it was nine, Dylan rose to his feet and picked up Mia's identity documents from the table. Spontaneously, he took Mia by her hand and walked out.

A black Maybach was parked at the entrance of the alley, attracting many onlookers' attention.

Seeing that a delicate man led Mia into the vehicle, the crowd began to chatter.

Dylan squinted his eyes, tightened his grip on Mia's hand, and covered it with the other palm to feel the woman's delicate fingers.

Dylan cast a glance at his subordinate, and the latter immediately got off the car with a bag of classy wedding candies.

"My boss is getting married. Ladies and gentlemen, please give the couple your blessings!"

Dylan's subordinate was a tall man who was not good at speaking. However, the expression in those onlookers' eyes fixed upon the car changed instantly because of his words.

The poster a few days ago made people think that Mia was a shameless home-wrecker.

At this moment, they changed their minds and realized that they had misunderstood the woman.

If she were indeed a bitch, the young, handsome man in the car would not marry her.

A rich man like Dylan could get any women he wanted. There was no reason for him to choose Mia if the woman were a slut.

Besides, it was nothing difficult to produce fake photos nowadays.

Perhaps Mia had been framed by a jealous woman who also wanted to marry the man.

It was such a pity that Mia's mother died of anger and could not enjoy happiness.

The crowd lamented over Mia's mother's tragedy. Their contempt and disdain for Mia were gone. Some of them even felt slightly jealous of the woman.

Witnessing the changes in the onlookers' attitudes towards her, Mia cast a grateful glance at Dylan.

"Thank you, Mr. Powell."

Dylan changed the crowd's attitude towards Mia with a simple act. Without his help, Mia still had no idea how she was going to face them.

"Don't thank me. We're getting married." While speaking, Dylan played with Mia's fingers intimately, which made Mia feel somewhat uncomfortable. However, given that he had just helped her, the woman accepted it.

She did not mind entertaining the man with her fingers.

The ride towards the Civil Affairs Bureau was a smooth one.

There were not many couples at the place on Monday. Therefore, Mia and Dylan did not wait for long.

Dylan originally did not want to wait and intended to use his contact to cut in the line. However, Mia stopped him from doing that and persuaded him to join the line.

Mr. Powell actually enjoyed it very much as Mia kept him company. But he did pity his fiancée as the sun was scorching.

After the couple before them went through the procedures, it was eventually Mia and Dylan's turn. At this time, however, two people walked up to their front.
