Chapter 18 Niece-in-Law

In the meantime, those standing at the door also laid their eyes on her.

She was so scared that her blood froze, her spine stiffened, and her limbs wouldn't move as she will.

She even lost control of her facial muscles. Expressions and movements eluded her.

"A... Anson! Nice... to meet you!"

The man paused slightly during his stooping.

He showed everything on the surface.

The corners of his mouth were curving up, and there was a tinge of pleasure in his attractive voice, "Good kid, you really came to greet my family!"

His nonchalant speech pulled Kelly back to that beach.

Her cheeks turned rosy involuntarily.

Her heart was gripped by fear, but she tried her best to play dumb, "Anson, are... are you coming to the wrong person? I've never seen you before!"

In the near distance, Mush was agape. Like discovering a world's wonder, he looked at the unfamiliar little woman.

In his mind, his boss was a women magnet.

When he just stood there, women would throw themselves at him.

Never had he seen any woman trying to distance herself from his boss.

Interesting, really interesting!

"Oh?" Anson arched his dashing eyebrow, "Wrong person?"

Kelly instantly felt easy and replied, "It's not surprising that you come to the wrong person. I look average after all..."

Hardly had she finished her speech...

Before her anxious eyes, the wolf's eyes of the man glittered dangerous light. His gaze moved slowly and landed on her tender lips at last, "Or you're forgetful."

She pretended that she didn't know him?

Her indifference instantly aroused his desire to conquer.

"Really, I don't know what you are talking about."

"Yeah, Anson, you might come to the wrong person. She just came from the countryside, fell into the water, and lost her memories. How is it possible that she has ever met a bigshot like you?"

Rose's teeth had been tingling with hatred.

That bitch was such a coquet. Why did every man want to associate with her?

Kelly rarely shot a grateful look at Rose.

She hoped that the woman's pettiness could save her from the trouble.

Kelly nodded her head to concur.

"... Anson, let me introduce her to you. She is your niece-in-law and just came from the countryside. She is timid, so don't make it hard!" Chapman sensed something abnormal.

"Niece-in-law?" He bit his tongue and forced out the word slowly. His tone was ambiguous.

Kelly was gripped by fear. Her heart was drumming, and she instantly grasped the hem of her clothes.

She held her breath.

Her brains were working fast.

Her spine stiffened, and every cell of her body was on alert.

But the man didn't play by the book.

Anson stuck his hand in his pocket, produced a pack of cigarettes, shook one out, and caught it with his smirking mouth.

He struck the lighter with his slender thumb, and a tongue of flame popped.

He drew the cigarette to the flame and took a deep drag. Smoke curled upwards, softening the coldness on his face. He then slowly raised his deep eyes and looked fixedly at Kelly's stiff face.

His deep eyes looked meaningful yet defiant.

What... did he mean?

Under people's shocked, angry, and suspicious gazes, Anson slowly lifted his hand and stretched it out to Kelly, "Niece-in-law..."
