Chapter 3 Setting Himself Free

Michelle just wanted to slap herself for her infatuation. Did she forego her principles just because the man looked hot?

She attributed her inaction against his harassment to her intoxication.

Forget it! She dismissed the thought. After all, the man didn't really kiss her, and she slapped him. They were even, right?

Thomas returned to the booth where his companions started to heckle frantically.

Even Brian was surprised that Thomas actually kissed that woman. In fact, he just tried to tease and embarrass the man.

In his impression, Thomas would never take the initiative to do that kind of thing.

What went wrong with him today? He got drunk and set himself free?

"Thomas, I really didn't expect you to be such an open-minded man."

Ignoring the man, Thomas picked up his glass, tossed off the wine, and spoke coldly, "I still have unfinished business, gotta go!"

Following his words, he scooped up his car key and went out of the bar.

His female playmates looked enviously at Michelle.

"That woman is so enviable and lucky to be kissed by Mr. Ruiz. How I wish I could be her!"

"Agreed, I'm dying to know how it feels like to make out with Mr. Ruiz?" Another woman nodded.

"It was all your fault. How could you ask Mr. Ruiz to kiss another woman? Why didn't you ask him to kiss me? This is irritating! Such a benefit was wasted on another woman. She's so lucky." She glared at Brian.

Brian helplessly shook his head. Nowadays, women were unbearably active!

"It was just a kiss. What's the big deal? If you want to make out, I can grant your wish!" Following his words, he pursed his lips.

"Stay away from me, disgusting. Your lips have kissed countless women. Who would want it from you?" The woman immediately blocked his mouth with her hand.

"You are particularly picky about me. If Thomas kept changing his girlfriend, you wouldn't mind it, right?" Brian couldn't bear with their double standard.

"How could it be the same? Mr. Ruiz is a heartthrob and would never be so promiscuous as you!"

"Don't you know that cats hide their claws?"

The next day...

Michelle had a hangover and a splitting headache from overdrinking last night.

The thought of going to work worsened her headache. Troubled by the lawsuit, she knew not how to fix it.

She had consulted the lawyers, but all of them found her chance of winning slim.

Be it background or reputation, she was far inferior to the other party. How could she beat the famous luxury company in court?

But if she lost, she would have to pay a huge amount of compensation.

Her career was still at the early stage while most of her wage went to the rent and the college fee of her little brother. She could hardly make ends meet for each month.

Other people might admire her for being a fabulous jewelry designer with a high income.

As a matter of fact, fresh workers like her could barely provide for themselves, not to mention having any money for lawsuits and compensation.
