Chapter 19 Yeah, It's Her
"Wylie, is what Christine said is true?" Darren narrowed his eyes when he heard Christine's words, and questioned Wylie who was in his arms.
"Darren, don't listen to her nonsense. It was her mother who fell on her own, and it has nothing to do with me." Wylie pouted and shifted the blame off herself.
"Christine, you heard it. This has nothing to do with Wylie. You'd get the hell out of here and don't make trouble with me. If you want money, I will give it to you. Just take the money and vanish." As Darren said that, he took out the check, signed a check for 200,000 yuan, and threw it at Christine as compensation for her mother's medical expenses.
Darren knew very well that according to Christine's personality, she would not frame Wylie. So, it was very likely that Wylie made trouble when she was asked to take back the phone. Therefore, Darren gave 200,000 yuan to Christine.
The thin cheque landed at Christine's feet with the wind. Looking at it, Christine felt her dignity was trampled on and insulted...
She bent over, picked up the check, and took a look, then tore it to pieces, "You don't need to give me money, and I won't entangle with you as well. Without you, I can still live a good life!" At least she didn't have to feel heartbroken without him!
Christine's eyes were full of stubbornness and tolerance. Seeing her like this, Darren was stunned.
He thought Christine would be crying and begging for him under such a desperate situation, but today she was out of his expectation. She had used to love him deeply, but now, let alone crying, there was not even a trace of reluctance to leave him on her face. Her expression made Darren, who had always been conceited, slightly startled.
"Darren, since then we've pretty much gone our separate ways. And from today on, we'll never see each other ever again!" Christine sneered. Was Darren so poor on his taste that he only favored brainless and busty girls like Wylie? She wondered how things would end between this perfect match who hadn't got married yet!
"Christine, mind your place, will you? Now that you refuse the money Darren offers you, don't come to blackmail us in the future!" Looking at Christine who had torn the check into pieces, Wylie was so angry. Even though Christine was completely desolate, she looked so righteous that Wylie was jealous.
"Wylie, enough. It's raining soon, let's go back." Looking at Christine who hadn't accepted his check, Darren was touched, something unknown emerging in his heart. Looking at Christine, Darren didn't want to hurt her somehow at this moment?
"Darren..."
"Shut up and go back."
Seeing Darren suddenly upset and irritable, Wylie stopped talking wittily and walked over to the villa behind Darren.
After they entered, the door of the villa was heavily slammed and closed, while Christine was desolate outside along with her belongings.
It thundered with a rumbling sound, dark clouds were overwhelming, and half of the sky was covered. The darkness was so suppressed, just like how she felt now.
Christine squatted on the ground and burst out crying. Like a puppet, she picked up the clothing and necessities all over the ground, heartbroken...
"Mr. Moussi, I found the woman's information." Jake was befitting to be Ryan's subordinate. It only took him a day to figure out Christine's background.
"Read it." Ryan could not wait to know the identity of the woman who dared to challenge him that night.
Opening the recorded file, Jake read, "As you command, Mr. Moussi, her name is Christine Taylor. She graduated from the Agricultural University of City S, 23 years old. She now works in a wedding design studio as a wedding designer. She lives in the suburbs of Village of Taylors, No. 129. Her aged mother is her only family now. Her father died of a serious illness when she was ten years old."
Jake finished reading Christine's archives in half a minute because Christine had no background at all. It was fair to say that she couldn't be more ordinary. There was nothing special about her.
"Do you have her photo?" Ryan's gaze turned gloomy, his eyes full of chill.
"Yes." Jake immediately took out a photo of her from the folder and handed it to Ryan respectfully.
Taking the photo, Ryan stared intently, "Yes, it's her."
Although he was not very sober that night, he would not forget her face even if she was burnt to ashes!
"Send someone to catch her back tomorrow. I want her to be broken into pieces. No woman has dared to humiliate me." The intact photo was instantly crumpled into a ball of waste paper in Ryan's palm. The innocent people around could not help but shudder.
"Yes, Mr. Moussi." Assistant Jake responded and turned to make arrangements.
