Chapter 3 I Will Kill You

Downstairs, Mike Smith was talking nicely to the man sitting across from him.

"Mr. Green, it was my incompetence that let Sarah make such a mistake. Please give her another chance. I promise Sarah will never make a blunder again."

Given the Smith Family's high status in Sun City, Edgar Green had to control his temper at Mike's friendly, courteous words.

At the thought of what Sarah had done, however, he clenched his teeth in anger again.

Fighting, brawling, clubbing, and missing classes...

She had done everything that was prohibited in the student rules and regulations.

That was not all. What made Edgar even more devastated was that Sarah did not go against the provisions on her own but also encouraged the rest of the class to join her.

Ever since Edgar became the class teacher of Sarah, not only did he never get any bonuses, but a considerable part of his salary was deducted.

Each time at a meeting, he would be mentioned as the object of criticism by the school managers, which left him ashamed in front of his colleagues.

At this moment, Edgar's expression was frequently changing.

Monica Hand, witnessing what was going on, hurriedly echoed her husband by saying, "Yes, Mr. Green. Sarah is still young. It's inevitable for the young to blunder. Please give her another chance. I'm sure Sarah will never make a mistake again."

"Well..."

Both Mike and Monica were so accommodating to Sarah that Edgar did not know what to say.

It seemed that every time Edgar came to Mike to inform the latter of Sarah's performance at school, it ended up with nothing definite.

But this time...

As a teacher, Edgar decided that he could not just stand by and watch his student go astray.

No matter how terrible Sarah was, she was Edgar's student. He felt that it was unethical for parents and teachers to indulge a student in erring from the right path.

Thinking so, Edgar took a deep breath, plucked up his courage, and said, "Mr. Smith, please forgive me for..."

"Dad! Mom! Help!"

As Edgar tried to express his point, the shouting from upstairs interrupted him.

The loud noise instantly drew the attention of the three people downstairs.

Amy rushed downstairs while screaming, then hastily hid behind Monica, crying miserably. "Mom. Sarah is crazy. She said she's going to kill me."

Monica's face turned pale at the words. After glancing at Mike's and Edgar's equally pale faces, she rebuked Amy by saying, "What are you talking about? Don't talk nonsense. It would be bad if Mr. Green misunderstood Sarah."

On the surface, Monica was afraid that Edgar would misunderstand Sarah. Actually, she was throwing paraffin onto the flames. Then, she put on a good-mother expression and explained to Edgar.

"Mr. Green, ignore Amy's nonsense, please. Sarah is a good girl at home. She would never do anything..."

Before Monica could finish her sentence, Sarah's voice sounded from upstairs as if she was deliberately contradicting Monica.

"Amy, I'll kill you!"

The roar scared Amy to hide behind Monica once again.

Mike's expression was incredibly gloomy.

Sarah, however, rushed downstairs like a breeze, waving her punches and pouncing on Amy.

"Sarah, stop it."

Mike shouted in anger as Sarah lunged at Amy. Monica protected Amy behind her back, nervously.

Monica knew clearly how aggressive and domineering Sarah was. When the young woman got mad, she would not heed anyone's words.
