Chapter 6 Abel Williams, I Have Nothing Now
Three hours later, Rosalie arrived at the RoyGlory Group on the 24th floor of Block D of Union Building.
Gripping the box in her hand, she walked out of the elevator.
She had "escaped" here from the hospital.
After Abel left, a nurse had been keeping an eye on her.
But there was a place where she must go.
Because her father had once said it would be her refuge after he passed away.
"Excuse me, who are you looking for?"
A receptionist instantly stopped Rosalie who wanted to break in.
Rosalie just cast an indifferent glance at the receptionist.
"Travis Watson."
Hearing her boss's name, the receptionist paused for a second.
"Do you have an appointment in advance?"
Rosalie didn't want to waste time on a boring conversation; she rushed in before the receptionist could catch her.
All of a sudden, she was followed closely by a flurry of noises and footsteps, but she had no time to bother with them.
"You are..."
The door of the CEO's Office was pushed open. The man sitting inside looked somewhat surprised.
But after a brief moment, he motioned for the receptionist, who finally caught up, to leave the room.
"Rosalie, Helen Adams's daughter."
This company was her mother's dowry.
"You know, there are too many cheats nowadays. I can't believe anyone's words, can I?"
Travis stared at her with a dry smile, plotting something in his mind.
"I think this is enough."
Rosalie placed the box, which her father had given her when alive, on the desk.
She opened it, a jade stamp lying still inside.
Suspicious, Travis took up the stamp and examined it carefully.
His smiling face fell straight away.
"I didn't expect that today's counterfeit technique is so advanced. I'm almost cheated!"
Ending with his words was that stamp.
With a thud, it shattered into two halves on the floor.
"Madam, do you want me to call the guards? Or may you go out by yourself?"
Rosalie picked up the stamp hurriedly and stared at Travis in disbelief.
"That's impossible!"
"Miss... Garcia? There's nothing impossible in this world, isn't it?"
The guards, who had been waiting outside, rushed in at this moment.
Before she was taken away, she was startled by what Travis said next.
"Smart people do the right thing."
She looked back at him, whose sinister smile had explained everything.
He was in cahoots with Penny!
Now, her only and last refuge was gone.
"What do you want to do to my woman?"
Before being driven out of the company, Rosalie heard a voice that couldn't be more familiar.
It was Abel Williams!!
It was somehow out of her expectation. With such a heavy injury, he should have stayed in bed in the hospital!
"Who are you? Another impostor?"
Travis stared at Abel alertly. Didn't Penny say Rosalie had been abroad and had no friends here?!
Abel didn't even look at Travis. With a single glare, he dismissed the guards grabbing Rosalie's arms.
The next second, he held her in his arms, and she saw slight anger on his face.
"Why did you go out of the hospital?"
Eyelids drooping, Rosalie didn't show any emotions.
"Answer my question!"
His fury increased, but when she looked up at him, he felt a sharp pain in his heart.
Her moist eyes were filled with sorrow and grievance that affected him.
"I have nothing now."
Somehow, when she looked at his face, she couldn't hold her sadness anymore.
"Let's go back first."
Abel's tone became softer. On his arm, the gauze of her hand reddened a bit; that made him frown deeply.
Quietly, Rosalie nodded and buried her face against his chest meekly.
Under so many eyes, he carried her in his arms and walked toward the door without looking back.
"This is my company! Not a place you can go in and out at random! Catch them!"
After a moment of careful consideration, Travis was sure that he had never seen this man on any occasion. Standing straight up, he boosted his courage.
However, Abel didn't pause a bit.
The guards couldn't even touch his clothes before they were handled by John and Gavin.
"Ah, it's too easy."
John clapped his hands, walked up slowly, and looked at Travis's horrified face.
"Do you know the consequence of offending the Galaxy Group?"
Scared, the cocky man knelt to his knees with a thud.
"Is he... Mr. Evans?"
Gavin gave a look at John, signaling that they could leave now.
"Enjoy your future time. It'll be extraordinary."
John didn't correct Travis's addressing. Joyfully, he followed Gavin out.
Travis was left there, eyes wide opened, body trembling.
The Galaxy Group was an organization established by Ben Evans and Abel Williams, the power holders of the two most influential families in City A.
Usually, when Galaxy's people were offended, it was usually Ben's people who would intervene; while Abel was so mysterious that no one knew what he was like.
And now, Rosalie was saved by Ben in person...
"I'm screwed up... I'm really screwed up this time!"
Travis failed to withstand such a blow; eyes closed, he fainted.
