Chapter 2 Sara's Scar

The woman left the office with a triumphant smile!

Since Sara stepped into this office, she had been like a transparent person. Seeing his husband flirt with another woman, she could do nothing but stand still there. Eyes closed, she clenched her fists so tightly that her nails pressed against her palms, but she didn't feel hurt at all. She was almost suffocated.

With a cold glance at her, Kent resumed indifference in his voice. "Why did you come here?"

She took a deep breath and replied hoarsely, "Today is our wedding anniversary."

He raised a brow. "So?"

She didn't know how to reply.

Getting no response, he rose and walked up to her. Pinching her chin with a hand, he said satirically, "Are you reminding me that you shared the bed with another man on our wedding night?"

Her face suddenly turned terribly pale. Even if she was the victim, she was never forgiven.

"Disgusting woman!" His eyes were filled with aversion and coldness. "But even if you were still a virgin, I would still not bother to touch you. Now that you want to be Mrs. Fitch, I can give you this title. But don't imagine that you can obtain more from me! Get out!" He loosened his grip and gave her a hard push, making her stumble and fall onto the ground.

She felt a surge of anguish as if her heart was clenched by a devil's hand. Forcing her tears back, she climbed up from the ground and left awkwardly.

When she came to the hall downstairs, Isaac caught up with her and handed the bag with the snacks and the shirt to her. Softly, he said, "Mr. Fitch asked you not to come here again." Seeing her pale face and watery eyes, he had a trace of sympathy across his eyes.

She nodded and ran fast away before her tears rolled down.

In the noisy Charm Bar, men and women were drinking and dancing under the dim light.

Sara sat at the bar, gulping strong Whiskey glasses after glasses. "Sara, that jackass hurt your heart again?" After finishing her pole dancing, Nancy Moon walked over. Seeing Sara's red cheeks, Nancy took away her glass with a frown. After staring at Nancy's charming face for a while, Sara suddenly buried her head against Nancy's shoulder and began sobbing. "Nancy, have I done anything wrong? I just love a man who doesn't love me, but I've never forced him to marry me. It was he who asked me to be his wife. Why is he so cruel to me now..." Why had she been offended by a stranger on her wedding night? She hadn't even seen his face clearly!

Nancy patted her friend's shoulder and said with slight anger, "He's too blind! Sara, you're the best woman in the world. If you feel unhappy, just divorce him."

"Divorce him?" Sara shook her head. "I can't let grandpa down..."

"Stupid girl, don't you understand? Kent Fitch won't like you. His speed of changing a lover is faster than that of changing clothes..."

"Nancy, please don't say that. I'm so tired!"

Nancy drove her drunken friend to Firmiana Garden. When they were about to go upstairs, Nancy's phone rang. The manager said a customer wanted her to lead a dance.

Sara raised her head from Nancy's shoulder, pushed her away softly, and said with a giggle, "I'm not drunk... Go back to work... I can go upstairs by myself..."

"I'll send you back first." When Nancy wanted to approach Sara, she was pushed back again. "No, no, I can manage it..." Then, Sara walked tottering into the apartment and closed the glass door.

Helplessly, Nancy shouted at her back, "Call me anytime!"

"Okay..."
